That is an Urban legend. The PLO position since 1993 is that they recognize lsrael within the 1967 borders. The Hamas position since 2006 is that they don't recognized Israel but will make a long term peace deal on the 1967 borders.
Israels gives lip service to the 2 state solution but strategically it can't give up the West Bank because the border is indefensible and the Arabs could cut the country in 1/2 with a raid like 10/7. To bolster the strategic concept it has employed religious zealots who are willing to live in the occupied west bank and they so aggressive that even if Netenyahu or any other govt wanted to pull out they cant.

For the counter to a false flag/allowing it to be true, that would mean Netanyahu would not be willing to sacrifice his reputation to advance a cause he supports, and to assume him being unwilling to sacrifice himself in a sense for "the greater good" of his cause/party is extremely naive. If I were a fanatic and I already was facing negative reaction from segments of the populace, sacrificing what little reputation I have left to drastically advance the cause or party I belong to, now that seems like a given to me.
