Plus isn’t Cap supposed to be the leader but he divided the team and constantly came after Tony during the first avengers movie. He saw clips of Tony and judged him based off that but he was completely wrong about him. Tony wanted to keep the avengers accountable, especially after people were killed because of them but CA didn’t. The details of the CW argument can be made for another day. Just pointing out that Steve is as flawed if not more flawed than Tony. At least Tony understands his capacity to make bad choices but Steve does and rarely accepts responsibility for them. Tony should have been able to wield mjornir or stormbreaker because he did make the sacrifice play.
But The privilege was given to CA because he’s supposed to be the symbol of justice and truth for America but America is deprived of both.

Exactly!! Rhodey was a skrull imposter in aou an iw I swear, or the directors just don't know how to get Tony and co right. A lot of the scenes in the avengers movies between Tony and Rhodey were good because of the acting and not necessarily the writing. Imagine James Rupert Rhodes, Tony's Platypus, Honeybear, Rhodeybear, best friend since MIT not taking all of them on for what they did to Tony in cw.
