You should have told the main reason why a bat might swoop down near a person's head. The majority of bats are insectivores, meaning they eat mainly bugs like moths, flies, beetles, and mosquitoes. The bats that swoop in near you are looking for those bugs like mosquitoes flying around you. Bats are our allies, trying get a meal of the pests that irritate and bite us.
About 15 years ago, I was homeless in Arizona for 14 months, and used to lay my head at nights against the trunk of a tree in a grapefruit orchard, with permission of the orchard's owner. Looking up, I would occasionally see the darkness of a bat against the lighter night sky, and I marveled at the incredible swiftness and accuracy with which they would flit about, oftentimes within a foot of my head. I knew that if I didn't move, they would never hit me, and they never did. And NO, no drugs were involved! (I can't speak for the bat, of course.)
You should make your own CZcams channel that way you can do/say/discuss whatever you’d like!
GMOs are actually much older. European wine had a blight issue and they spliced US native grape vines into theirs to create mold resistant grapes. You can google great french wine blight. So we've been mixing plants since the 1800s if not before.
GMOs are closer to 100+ years old, at least for food. Corn and a LOT of other fruits and veggies are GMOs. Largely, it has been done with selective cross pollinating and splicing.
Corn started out about 5 in tall until people bred it(or modified) to be taller😊
GMOs may be safe but glyphosate definitely isn’t.
Agreed, most GMO have been designed to withstand more glyphosate! Plus, GMOs can also mess up our microbiome, so it is indirectly unhealthy.
When I was a teenager my uncle told me that Dolly Parton always ate potato skins and that was how her boobs got so big. Crazy that I started eating the potato skins after that. 😂
The trick never worked for me. 🤷🏻♀️

What you need do to know about food sell by, is that it isn't same as use by. Use by is about safety, sell by is about the looks of cosmetic food. Don't confuse the two and waste food, or give yourself food poisoning. ❤
You can also learn about signs that a given food is off, many official food safety sites will give you the information, you need, but do follow cooking and storage instructions too.
Taste smells and looks. True way to tell if something is bad. Cheese can still be used for eating if there is mold on it, make sure you have at least .5 in around it 😂. Old farmer told me that one.
Wasps and crazed birds like angry gulls are more of a danger to your head. I got stung by a wasp once, that landed on my head and I put my hand up there, because I felt it land.
The fear of bats came from medieval times, when they were sometimes carriers of rabies. In modern times most bats aren't infected by diseases that often and the most dangerous bat is the vampire bat, because its bites, mostly to animals, might cause disease. Bats are often unfairly maligned, but also sometimes endangered species.
yelling clear means don't touch the patient. there is an electrical current going through the patient and the person using the defib doesn't want anyone becoming part of the circuit.
Those with little scientific knowledge, but with a lot of misgivings about truth in advertising tend to have knee jerk reactions to the introductions of new products. Their pronouncements on hidden dangers that don't exist are almost as harmful as the marketers who downplay actual dangers, like saying cigarettes don't cause cancer.
Baseball legend Shoeless Joe Jackson used to train his eyes by sitting in a room lit by a single candle, then staring at the candle with one eye covered. When his vision became blurry, he would switch eyes. That was over a century ago.

For burns it is better to cover it with cling film, a bandage could stick to the wound, there's actually 'burn dressings' with a plastic film on the inside
Never remove clothing that's covering the burn as it may have stuck to the wound already
I'm a first aider and have cjecked this on the NHS website
Reading in the dark is impossible, you need some light :D
Also don't put body cream, toothpaste in the burn and don't pop the blíster 😮
Place the burn/scald under cool running water for at least 20 minutes, then pad dry, cover with a non adherent dressing and bandage. Definitely no Aleo Vera or creams for the first 24 hours and seek proper medical assistance.
The thing with diamonds anyway, is that while they are "hard" in terms of *scratching ability,* they are actually incredibly brittle on contact. This is because minerals have both a "hardness" scale that measures scratching ability, as said, and a "toughness" scale, which measures how well a mineral stands up to trauma such as being dropped. Thus, unlike what Minecraft thinks, they would be absolutely useless as tools or weapons!

When I was a kid back in the 90's, my friend next door family had a rat cage in the corner of the kitchen by the sliding glass door. Next to that cage was the microwave. The two pet rats both got cancer at the same time and died. It could of been a coincidence, but I remembered they didn't have anymore pets like that, just the cat and dog, and they got a brand new microwave out of precaution. Back then I don't think anyone was sure about microwaves, but the whole thing didn't persuade me or them to stop using them.
Fun fact: Rats and other rodents, are more prone to tumors. Not all are malignant, most are benign.
Rats...in the kitchen..on the counter. 🤢🤮🤢🤮🤢🤮
#6 was something I just learned recently. I had it about 20 years ago and stopped eating nuts and seeds. A few weeks ago I saw a doctor who told me that was a myth. That night I had popcorn for the first time in years.
Diverticulitis is different than Diverticulosis. You referred to them as the same thing. Not sure if you realized that.
And things like nuts, seeds, and hulls and other non-soluable foods *CAN* get trapped in a diverticula and cause infections, abscesses, and perforations, sometimes leading to life-threatening peritonitis. It nearly killed me a few times and led to the removal of a large section of my bowel.

A panic attack can be fatal if you have one while juggling chainsaws or walking on a tightrope across the Grand Canyon
Cubic boron nitride is actually used in the manufacturing of the armor plates in high-end bulletproof vests, the idea being that to stop the bullet, you have to break the bullt.

I think one doesn't pull oneself out of depression. I think only time can do it. Having had depression often in my life, I find only time gets me thru.
GMO's might not be bad for us but being able to patent GMO's is bad. Imagine dogs or cats being patented.

I actually read a study that was done that said panic attacks can cause heart problems if already have issues. And the stress on the heart can lead to damage. As someone who suffers from anxiety/panic attacks I always wondered why would they tell people this knowing that could trigger anxiety?
You cannot train a cat.
Also, dentures mean dietary restrictions as in you cannot eat steak, corn on the cob, apples, etc
Cats CAN be trained. It takes longer than with dogs. They're not going to do the silly tricks dogs do. But, they can be trained to stay off counters and tables, to cone when called, to do their business on a toilet instead of a litter box, just to name a few.
My cat was trained. Took a while but he was. They are intelligent animals given a bad rap
My mother had dentures since she was 25. She was born in 1921. She ate steak, apples, corn on the cob. It depends on how well the dentures fit.
@marypasco2213 I have had dentures since I was 21. And yeah...the whole dietary restrictions of not eating steak, apples, corn on the cob, etc do not apply.
Aloe vera should not be applied to a burn as it can retain the heat and increase the burn. Cold or cool water is the appropriate means to reduce the heat
Yeah, dogs & cats are kinda like humans just shaped different. All can warm up to you or attack you based on their own respective lives, regardless of the current owners. The more you be yourself, the more the furry ones will want to get to know your kindness... Short EXAMPLE... Friend took me to his house party to celebrate birth of his son while I sat on a couch with Cujo he named LEO...4 years later, friend moved across the street from my place & sitting on a different couch, LEO decided to become my Beethoven couch buddy along with 4 cats, that I was labeled by another friend's kid as "The Cat Whisperer". L.O.L. LEO was fun just laying on the couch, constantly growling at me in one house, but years later in another apartment with a different couch and "Come on LEO, I'll take you for a walk." L.O.L. I was surprised that those pets trusted me. But still, my 40 years of life dictate I take a knee with an open hand to let them get my scent to sniff. : )

Selective breeding of plants and animals is just like GMO but GMO takes out the trial and error approach of selective breeding.
The irony of the ad that popped up in the middle of this, touting how dangerous GMOs are 🙄😄
#15 Apparently, you've never heard Barney Fife explain bats getting caught in someone's hair and laying eggs. Causing said person to "go batty"! 😂
The GMO thing drives me mad. I have an environmental degree, and it's crazy how many people in the field have an issue with GMOs for the wrong reasons. The big issue is greedy companies like Bayer trying pushing for monoculture. Havinf fewer strains could cause the whole food source to clap from diseases. GMOs is the only way we can feed the world. I mean we don't because of capitalist greed
Well I had a stem cell transplant. Aren’t I loaded with GMOs
Hi all! Happy Monday! Have a great week!
The defibrillators just shocks. The clear, is so everyone touch the body, quits touching the body or they will be shocked along with the body (electric currents passing thru body as a live wire)
They said teflon was safe too.
Michael, you're wrong. A defibrillator doesn't shock the heart into a normal rhythm. A defib is used to stop a heart that's gone nuts. Each muscle fibre is contracting by itself, the lack of co-ordination means there's no pump effect and so no circulation. The heart has its own pacemaker, the sino-atrial node (SAN), in the right atrium. This normally co-ordinates the muscle fibre contraction so they all contract togethet and pump blood.
Sometimes the SAN loses control and the muscle fibres do their own thing.
The defibrillator shock stops all muscle activity, causing asystole (flat line), and if luck is with you & your patient the SAN can then kick back in and generate a rhythm that pumps.
Cardiac arrest rhythms that don't need a shock are also common, so irl not every patient will need shocking, contrary to what screen writers seem to believe.
When I used to work for DQ (back around their 50th) until they told me to stop, I held the Blizzards over my head to show How thick they were.

"Coffee stunts your growth". I started drinking coffee when I was around 5 years old, and my grandmother would always tell me that I wouldn't grow to be very tall when I got older. Look at me now. I'm 6' 1". Shows how much you know, grammy lol.
I just hit 63 and grew up drinking coffee. I'm also 6'1" so coffee doesn't stunt your growth.

One night as I was riding my motorcycle I slowed down for a curve near a creek, out of nowhere something flew under my face shield (it was the snap to your helmet type)
It was a bat that had been feasting on bugs near the street light above me.
Luckily I also had my glasses on.
My husband and daughter were horrified when I drove up to them sans helmet it was in my hand, with a bloody face 😅
Went to hospital got cleaned up etc.
After that we all switched to full Bell helmets 😅
Thank you for talking about how men can struggle with eating disorders too! This is very important to know!
I believe Canberra was purposely built to be the capital. I could be misremembering though.
You’re correct. Melbourne and Sydney were head to head in the capital race, so Canberra was built half way between the 2 cities.
Edit: it's not just humans who can have eating disorders. My greyhound (a breed associated with loving lots of food) is anorexic. It's not the same as with humans, but it's a real PITA when trying to get him to eat!
Much as I never wanted to say anything positive about Margaret Thatcher, Milk Snatcher (she stopped kids getting free milk at school back in the '70s, something about which I was never sure. I love milk, but it wasn't refrigerated in my school...), and I'm certainly not making any claims about her naming soft-serve ice cream, but before she entered politics, she was a biologist (or chemist. Can't remember and don't care) working in the food industry. So I guess it's possible?
I feel when they say be dominant over a dog, it doesnt mean be abusive or mean. It's more like make sure the listen to you and dont let them think they are in charge.

Sell by dates are rarely a good measure of wheather or not a product is viable. Companys use these to get us to throw good food away and buy more
Actually it is to ensure consistency and quality thus avoiding potential complaints. Sorry to pop your leftist conspiracy theory, comrade.
@@mauricearpin7946 those that produce dated products say the date is to ensure thay the buyer gets said product before it passes its peak freshness. However the product is safe to consume for considerably longer than the stated sell by date. If you dont think that they would prefer that you dispose of the product after the printed date because they sell more that way, you may want to get that rose colored tint removed from your glasses.

About #3: nothing at Dairy Queen in Canada is ice cream. It's a product made from powered coffee whitener. In Canada, a product needs to be 30% dairy to use any dairy related terms on the product or even your signage. Which is why those outlets are not called Dairy Queen in Canada, they are simply DQ. Their menus offer you cones, shakes, sundaes etc. The words ice cream never appear. But they aren't the only ones. Big ice cream makers such as Breyers, their less expensive product is labelled frozen dessert, because it's the coffee whitener stuff. Their premium brands however are ice cream. Same goes for McDonalds and other fast food joints. On their menus you'll see cone, not ice cream cone or shake, not milk shake. Harveys used to sell milk shakes up until recently but I noticed their menu now reads simply shakes. Companies exist to generate profits and with the cost of dairy products climbing, that cuts into their profits, so they turn to non-dairy substitutes.
