1.2kW SOLAR & 400Ah LITHIUM - How To Stay Off-Grid In Caravans

- Adam is here to give us a tour of the energy system we recently installed in our customer's Essential C Class caravan - it's a good one!
This caravan's owner wished to head off-grid for as long as possible and he wanted to maximise the amount of solar he could travel with in order to achieve this. So, naturally, we fitted the van out with as much solar we could fit on the roof. We also included a mammoth 440W portable solarcase that he can use in addition to the power he generates directly from his rooftop.
The caravan roof is fitted with 800W of solar, and with the addition of the 440W @ALVOLTA solarcase, this customer can generate over 1.2kW of solar power from his off-grid energy system.
To complete the system and ensure that this van can travel off-road for days without needing to connect to mains power, we also installed the following:

Hi, does the Multiplus-II meet recreational vehicle standards for grid connection?
Hi, Multiplus II is an inverter charger designed for RVs and meets the requirements for use. The programming of this unit would need to ensure that it is set up as an off grid system and the grid is only used to recharge the batteries and transfer to the load. The installation would also need to meet the requirements of AS3001. Cheers

This caravan was brought in to us after the customer purchased it. We work around all existing assets within these vehicles. Thanks!
