I came here because of my modules, somehow i thought this is a happy nor just a random lucky me commercial, buy when i got the link, i realised it wasn't just a normal commercial... I've experienced this situation, i often eat alone in my room instead of eating with the fam. They would always call me out for dinner, but whenever i get to the dinner table, they would insult my interests, my friends, my type of music, my laziness/attitude, my grades and most of all, me. Then they would ask why i never eat at the dinner table with them? Sometimes i feel so empty and anxious overthinking my problems, that is the time when i almost left the house, but i got my thoughts back, thanks to the dogs barking outside our house... So to the parents out there, please never insult your children, their mental health is more important than their grades. Remember that, just because we don't eat at the dinner table, that doesn't mean we're dramatic, it means we're slowly losing our appetite and trust because of the negative words u tell us, we're humans too.
I don't think it's appropriate to call it "the most disturbing commercial" because I've been in that situation. I think it is good that lucky me addressed this problem. Because this is the reality that most of the kids are in this situation.
my teacher showed us this commercial a few years ago.i did not know what he was teaching us by showing this ad.but when i watched this,i got the message.
Old but gold.
This is one of the best commercials that I had ever watched. It made me realized that this problem is one of the common things that Filipino families ever faced, especially when it's about food. What I love about this ad is its focus to address this problem than just grabbing that opportunity to promote their brand. I really appreciate Lucky Me that they showcased the problem many Filipino families faced and giving insights addressing this problem.
Totoo to.
I've been in this situation when I am at my Grade 8 days but hopefully my grandmother, father and mother asked me everytime we eat "How was my day?" "What did I do?". This commercial of Lucky me really helps what should our parents do. Like, they should ask first us, their children what really happend or ask what are/is the reason behind. Family is important , we should treasure it above all.
this is why I tried opening myself to my family. For a long time I've been misunderstanding them and vice versa. alot of weight got out of my chest when I started communicating with them properly.
i got used to this situation when i was teen..til i'm no longer going back to my family.. or should i say , i can't be part of the family until he's existing..
It is indeed disturbing for me. Imagine being yelled by your parent even the smallest reasons, and there goes resentment. ...And the parents still wonder why their child can't join with them at the table.
For me I think this video tell us/pinaparating sa atin na kapag pinapagalitan niyo ang mga anak or sinisigawan niyo ,mas lumalayo sila, kaya for me dapat oyon oyonan ang mga anak or talk nicely to them kung ano man ang problema so that the problem will be solve.
They are becoming Americanized. There are some good things and some bad things about Americanization. One of the bad things is a lack of family unity. Even me, I haven’t had an actual meal with my family in 2 years now.
Nick Vengado Yep. It was sad but true. But we finally started coming together again after our parents died. Of course one of the good things about it is independence and self reliance.
You know what makes it worse? Criticizing the Americanization of the Filipino nation will get you lynched as a communist. Not a leftist, but the CPP-NPA silenced their opposition by doing the criticism for them.
Rudol von Stroheim Americanization is just not something that could have been stopped anyway as it was an economic and market phenomenon. It’s happening somewhat in China now even. Not trying to start a political discussion.

'The Most Disturbing Dinner' is the actual title of the commercial.
"The Most Disturbing Dinner" is the actual title of the commercial.
Well, if the table suddenly extends and reached few blocks from the house, it is really DISTURBING to the neighbors.
my teacher showed us this commercial a few years ago.i did not know what he was teaching us by showing this ad.but when i watched this,i got the message.
This is the first time that i realised lucky me commercials have wonderful messages

this is why I tried opening myself to my family. For a long time I've been misunderstanding them and vice versa. alot of weight got out of my chest when I started communicating with them properly.
Man isnt it very annoying that your parents yell at you at the dinner table and then tell you "WhY aRenT yOu eAtInG wItH uS?? "
You came home late last night
how many times do we have to tell you?
0:47 The problem with you is you don't think what we say is important
0:50 You don't care
0:53 We keep telling you over and over

...And the parents still wonder why their child can't join with them at the table.
They should put "based on a true story" in the end
this is not the most disturbing dinner, this is the most relatable dinner on an ad
I watched this since I was a teenager, 14 yrs old, it was a relevant or related commercial
this hits different now lmao
Naging kasing haba ng lucky me ung mesa. haha...
