Great interview. I think Jamie was right when he said everyone brought something special to the show. Alan might have been the main star, but I honestly can't see any of the characters being played by anyone else. Jamie Farr was Klinger, Loretta Swit was Margaret, McLean Stevenson was Henry Blake, etc. It wouldn't have worked if anyone else had played any of those characters. They were all wonderful and they deserve equal credit for their time and work on M*A*S*H.
If you notice the series, even when the storylines are about the other characters, Hawkeye is still in there, but like a "glue" that holds it together. He responds for us to the characters and situations.
You can tell a good man when he has nothing but praise for his co workers.
This man is a living legend. He doesn't get NEARLY enough credit for the comedic genius he is.
Have to say, Klinger was one of my favourites on M.A.S.H. such an beauty of a TV series. With such a charming and lovely cast. Bless them all.

It is a shame that a lot of this cast never got more recognition. They were all very talented.
I have never been a lover of television series, but M.A.S.H I have seen from beginning to end at least eight times I never tire of it.

I loved Mash. Such an amazing show. Sad, funny, camaraderie - love sadness and the horror of war, what an amazing series. I love it.

KLINGER! He is my favorite character in MASH. Hated it when he stopped cross dressing in later episodes.
