I switched to tonfas and I love to spam Wild Lions and the Demon Dance follow-up for faster ki drain and ground blows.
I had a very hard time with the Maria lady boss using ineffective high-stance kusari 🔺 strike. Once I tried that two moves tonfa spam, I beat her baffingly easily!
Since then, ng+ and properly-levelled gear DLC with tonfas, even if sometimes frighteningly one-two shot , much less frustrating overall!

+DYLAN.Y ZHANG I'm aware of that but that's just one move. They said that the tonfa is a ki destroyer not just pulverize.
WotD has been relatively easy using the pulverise skills and wild lions with tonfa.

+DYLAN.Y ZHANG I'm not much of a grapple person but the tonfa is one grapple I can't get sick of seeing lol. I actually try and aim for it lol since the final blow for it is crap and misses more then it hits.

+Kagerasimaru I was kinda hyping for either Maria and Sasuke or Mysterious Samurai and Sanada Yukimaru double boss fights lol
+DYLAN.Y ZHANG The problem is they need to put two bosses that are manageable together. Those three I feel no matter how you put them they don't feel manageable. Sanada is an amazing fun boss but he's probably the toughest boss imo in the game.
Damn, you weren't kidding about the pressure game. It really does feel like the Ninja Gaiden 2's tonfas. Is there an equivalent to the 360T/360Y move with ridiculous invincibility and hits for days? Also, will you do tonfa videos with Ginchiyo or Okatsu? I like seeing ladies with tonfas. ;)

yessir, I got Ki reduction @17.5 ATM but I'm making up with it using Bisha & some extra pierce guard, OMG does it destroy gaurds. Good Video had to reference it on Reddit. Folks saying Tonfa's ain't shit, not damage, reminds me of Bruce Lee with them, yeah all speed no damage. LOL

Nice stuff with the parrying! I'm pretty bad at it myself. See if you can use the jump more, it's really good for keeping up an offensive! I'd link to my latest vid but you've probably already seen it ;p Such a great weapon pffff.

So I've found that the jump attack(mountain breaker) is quite good when used after a grapple or explosion combo ender (crimson lotus or devastation) from tonfa gun as both put you at just the right distance for the attack to connect. Mountain breaker does very good damage and more importantly, looks stylish as fuck.
Sometimes I have been able to get a final blow after, sometimes not. Must be a strict timing thing or something.
It's a good approach tool for sure, but the targetting can be a bit wonky for the Final Blow. What helps for me is to overshoot the jump a bit, the hitbox will connect anyway but your Demon Dance will but you back over him for a quick FD.

+Kagerasimaru I guess the next best option they offered was 'The Sparrow Flies Again' Btw, do u prefer tonfa or odachi? With all those videos of u and ShadowSax doing the DLC missions I felt like u were using odachi most of the time. I'm still struggling to get the odachi 'Hotarumaru' though. My best odachi is Kimbanzai Tomonari, and my best tonfa is Sarutobi's Gunsticks. I never gave up on my best friend, the Nami-oyogi Kanemitsu tho
+DYLAN.Y ZHANG I'm not going to hate on the odachi because I still like it. I just prefer faster weapons so the tonfa's stylish approach spoke to me.
Kinda sad no one's using odachi these days, making it difficult to farm good ones... :(

What skills did you pop at the start? I've never really used onmyo or ninja.
he's using
>kekkai talisman (auto-purify and +ki recovery)
>tiger-running scroll (+move speed)
>extraction talisma (amrita earned on hit)
>power pill (+damage)
>protection talisman (flat damage block)
i may be mistaken about protection, since the only defensive onmyo buff i use is steel talisman (+defense) to override the -defense from carnage talisman (+damage, -defense), as both of them count as defense buffs and as such the latter of the two you apply will cancel the defensive effects of the former

+DYLAN.Y ZHANG Urgency has way too long of a start up. I'm going to mess with it. I like how the move looks but still have lots to test with this weapon. I'm not giving up on it.
how come your attacks never bounce off? Even in mid stance he's blocking and your doing the whole string!
There is a perk you can put on your weapon called parry disabled vs guarding enemy (weapon name so this case would be tonfa). This prevents your weapon from being deflected of their guard.
