You can also add Hino-Enma's Kabuto instead of Using the Warrior of the West 3 piece for close combat damage. Enma's Kabuto gives Close Combat Attack (Enemy Paralysed) (+48.2%). Equipping Hemlock Broth, Medusa Powder and Paralytic Groundfire you have plenty of options to paralyze and setting up huge damage.

this build looks like a lot of fun its cool to see something utilizing paralysis, i also really enjoy nioh but completely agree about the one shot thing! i never thought the game was that hard until recently when i tried an onmyo build w/ light armor and tried to fight maria...

Great start. I cruised through ng and ng+, got to Demon, and while I am doing damage, I am getting seriously 1-2 shot. I wanna get through it so I can start farming for my Night Rain.
Man,as much as I loved nioh I have to agree about one shot mechanics. In this topic definetely DarkSouls is way more "fair". Its almost impossible a consistent tank build, and you are obliged to play as a fucking glass canon forever.
This appeared on my suggestions haha and you sound more happy and excited, for sure you enjoyed more Nioh 1 than Nioh 2. Regardless of the content, always good 🙌🏻

I just switched to tonfas yesterday after seeing the tonga gun ability.
Currently lvl 508 and smashing wotW dlc with this build
4pc sarutobi (only need 4pc for the op ability to disable blocking from interrupting your attacks.
4pc masterswordman (for tank and i use dual swords)
Usual buffs, protection, carnage quick change etc..
Roll whatever stat you want but on tonfas pierce guard is a MUST
SG: kato or karajishi for farming
For DLC most enemies are human so i just use the GS tailsman with daiba washi to knock them over and sigh of cross, killing strike, windstorm cheese.
For yokai i use the tonfas and abuse the 4pc special disable parry to overwhelm yokai with speed and firepower (devastation)
Imo 6pc sarutobi is not worth it, the damage buff is not the significant and it leaves you very weak defence wise.
Better to go for hybrid 4pc saratobi
And 4pc heavy armour's (whatever secondary weapon you using to get that extra 4pc ccD dmg from sets bonus)
Btw daiba washi at lvl 50 gives you +70 luck and 33% iten drop rate makes human bosses drop items like crazy
Also try and farm sarutobi for a tonfa with skill damage lotus as it will your most abuseable combo finisher
You can pray at the last shrine rinse and repeat method
Any tips on how to get divine sarutobi armor and tonfa? I only get purple and blue gear from sarutobi boss fight on way of the samurai, I barely do any damage on way of the strong, and NONE of the revenents I see have the gear. I only found the boots and the chest piece from chests in the dlc.

Way of the demon is the best way. Almost always divine drop.
for armor drops like that just grind his boss fight till he drops the smithing text

i have a nerly perfekt kusarigama build and even with buffs and debuffs my damage is lacking
think i switch to tonfas then
but with my luck, like back in the day, the nerv tonfas like kusarigamas and make them nearly useless
And yeah, in way of the wise, even ith max level and defensive build you are two-hit if not one-hit from everything :D
makes no fun to die grinding in hope of ethereal gear...
ZeroenaGR True haha, im on the way to complete WOTD and i think i will just stop there. grinding WOTW might be a waste of time. Need to play other games since i spent too many hours with NiOH already

Build is fun on wotd and below, but on wotw, atleast i am, struggling alot using this build. It's just way to squishy for my playstyle! Tnx for the video tho

Add hino enma kabuto and ger change to attack body to tonfa. Pump stats into body and thats about the only thing you can do. Steel and protection as well.
On wotw everything kills you fast.
Im playing with full heavy build and 99 body atm and those ninjas from iga escape mission kill me in couple of attacks without protection.
Add attack to all your armor pieces, add lower defence on torso, add increase attack when absorbing amrita and use an extraction talisman and you'll be doing a lot of damage. Get the apocolypse mistic art for the damage boost when doing multiple attacks on the tonfa.
sorry im spamming but equipment lightness damage bonus AA while completely naked is only about a 7 percent damage boost. I think you are better off getting a third percent attack from clever combining of armor sets for pure damage though the paralysis boost is probably pretty damn good in the right situation.
Youre right, usually these ninjutsu, equipment weight etc effects are not that great. As Enraged Mark said, Hino Enma kabuto should be added here.
RPG Division how did u get the armour set and tonfa did u farm it piece by piece or was their a smithing txt becuase ive been farming the tonfas 4 quite some time now???

Fought sarutobi 3 times and got everything.
RPG Division wow it took me like 5 or 6 hours of nonstop grinding 2 get it maybe they made it harder n patch 1.15 or im just doing something wrong idk

Using medium armor isnt wise. You will get wrecked. Light armor too but you have more mobility to move around if your trying to trade blow with people only option is tatenashi
if you use kato with sersha, (fuck the spelling of that name) you get a little more skill damage. Also i have a question. Is it better to go with a different change to attack then the primary stat of the weapon? Should i not be using change to attack skill on it?
Main stat scaling for any weapon is B+.
If you go with change to attack A, then you can put 99 into 2 stats and both will add good boost to your dmg. Its better to have 2 stats that add it instead of 1.
Dex might be the best choice here but heart is also good.

Farm Sarutobi which can be in a mission where you're in the underworld and have to fight like 4 braves one after another and then Sarutobi pops up as a boss

Leveling up means grinding with LW builds. I rarely use those and dont see point in wasting time grinding.
If a build works at lvl 280, its gonna work on 680 as well

How? I can hit max damage lumber jack swing with my 99/99 hybrid axe as well as my level 600 dual blades.. level 300 is the level damage soft cap. you can get tiny bits more from dex and magic when you're scaling with magic buffs, but other than that, you pretty much have a done build at level 300.
This build is fun but not OP, pwargaming has a katana build that does 300k quickdraw damage. You should also do a quick attack that misses the opponent into gun tonfa when the enemy is paralyzed for max damage. When you hit with a quick attack first, the gun tonfa does not get the dmg buff. Quickdraw/sotc builds are VERY powerful after the buff

Yeah ive seen his build. Great build no doubt. This was early tonfa build and grappling human enemies was much better before 1.16 cause they stayed on the bottom and you could paralyze them forever. Most OP it can get.
As for Pwar, his build utilises ethereal set bonuses that i dont posses. With those its not surprising he can pull off that kind of dmg.
This build was done 2-3 days after dlc hit. His was today.
Lets be clear, i dont think i have as good knowledge of game mechanics as he does, im just trying to put stuff into perspective.
RPG Division i get it, i still think the video was good. Just saying. Im a little bit disappointed by tonfa damage potential as i love the move-set
