Jeez!! The energy these 60 year year olds showed on "Rollin' and Tumblin", (not to mention their swing and time) is just amazing to witness. I'm and old fart who was lucky enough to see them back in San Francisco late '60s, and they may have lost a step, but it's a baby step!! Three of the greatest!

Mark Miller: you’re not alone. I’m 51 and just happened to watch a documentary about Ginger Baker last week. I never really cared about Cream but watching this gives me a whole new perspective. I mean, they broke up when I was 1 and you weren’t even born yet. We had other music priorities!

What a great concert. Each of these musicians still has it. For anyone who thinks Eric's best days are long gone, needs to watch/study this video again and again. Eric can still play with the best of them. Jack Bruce was amazing as always. I was pleasantly surprised Ginger Baker got his chops back for this concert. All three of them are still legends. This was an incredible concert. And finally a quality visual/audio record of the event that we can watch again and again.

I wish EC had included a Gibson or two in the lineup like back in the day. His psychedelic '64 SG (named after and painted by"The Fool") would have been really cool but he hasn't owned it in decades. Todd Rundgren owned it for a number of year having bought it for 500 bucks! IN 2000 it was sold to a private collector for 500 THOUSAND dollars! Anyway I would have been happy to see him play any old off the rack Lester, ES-335 or SG just to hear him in that sonic element again.

I feel this is because of the group dynamic. When Eric (can I call Him Eric?) played in other groups he was the star, and everyone played aound him so he had a comfortable role. Ginger Baker was having none of that; he saw himself as at least Eric's equal and often as the star himself. It seemed that to that end Ginger frequently took the initiative and leading role introducing unexpected complex rhythms which forced Eric to stretch himself to stay in time.
