Ibanez GRG270 Maintanance ! [After 6 years]

For the first time in 6 years, since I bought the guitar, this is the first time that I apply fretboart nuthries (?), remove the dirt and all of it, enjoy the video.
Im using the ernie ball guitar toolkit, ernie ball guitar string .010 in the mean time

But pick up nuts became rusty.

Congrats! You did a great job cleaning and restringing the guitar, but Where's the footage of the maintenance?

Didnt need a lot actually, the frets were shining, the electronics at that time were new, the bridge didnt need recalibration has been in the same position were i feel comfortable, actually Ive lock the bridge recently because Im using lower tunings and higher gauges...I care a lot my gear lol

Hola Javier cómo te va, saludos desde Paraná, Argentina. Yo también tengo una Ibanez GRG270 (me enteré hoy del modelo, siempre fue GIO a secas para mi jaja) negra como la tuya que compré en Asunción, Paraguay, hace ya 12 años siendo adolescente, y dejé de tocarla en 2011 más o menos, la tengo guardada en casa de mis padres. Hoy por hoy mi guitarra es una Schecter Hellraiser C-7 blanca... pero quiero revivir mi vieja Ibanez GIO y hacerle un cambio general, no sólo el mantenimiento que vos hiciste, sino cambiar todos los micrófonos por unos de gama alta y posiblemente mejorar el floyd entre otros detalles para darle un giro de °180 a la guitarra. Ya que tenemos la misma viola, qué me recomendarías? o qué te gustaría cambiar concretamente en tu Ibanez? Yo afino en D standard, y me gusta tocar cosas como Symphony X, Death, etc.

Hola Luis ! Te comento, el Edge III que ella trae es muy bueno, la mia tiene 1 Dimarzio Evo Standard en el neck y un Paf Pro aniversario en el bridge, el single coil es el original, de modificaciones pondria ese set de microfonos, cualquier otro de dimarzio o barenuckles, no le pondria activos ya que la madera no es tan gruesa y ser perderian los bajos, y solo uso paatillas activas en los bajos 😂 ademas le agregaria un TremoLock (le tengo TremoLock) y reharia el circuito electrico, nuevos Pots, cables, jack y selector

What is the material of the sticker that you use for the fretmarker?

The regular book paper cover, I dont know the name in english, but that paper LOL, I just try to change it every 3 months so the wood can breath and give it a good clean to the frets and rehidrate the wood every 3 or 6 months, just in case

Actually is really smooth, a beautiful system, keeps tunings really good, calibration and entonation are really good also...just like all the floyd rose they're a pain to be setup the first time or changing the strings gauge

@@javiermellior4380 That's good to hear. I have the same one but in blue, previous owner had it setup with D tuning though so I'm looking at sending it to a Luthier to get it so E and with 0.9 gauge strings.
