M 80 Cherry Bomb Exhaust Upgrade Suzuki Samurai

- Today we are back to work on the Turbo Diesel Samurai. The project for today is to upgrade the existing Turbo muffler with a new Cherry Bomb M-80 exhaust. The new muffler is a less restrictive design and should improve the flow of exhaust gases from the turbo. The new muffler is also the same length and has the correct exhaust pipe diameter to make the install much easier. This mufflers Inlet Diameter: 2", Outlet Diameter: 2" - Muffler Body Length: 13" - Overall Length: 19" end to end. Muffler has an Aggressive Loud sound and it's configuration is: Center - Center.)
Cherry Bomb makes these mufflers in many different sizes and configurations to suit all kinds of custom installs.
So follow along as I upgrade the exhaust on my 1986 Suzuki Samurai.

FYI that is single chamber muffler it even says it on the box
Yes thank you for your input. The M-80 muffler does have 1 chamber that houses the single wing plate but there are chambers at each end. First chamber helps collect and spread the gasses around the wing plate and the last chamber helps to collect the gas split by the wing and cancel out additional sound before exiting the muffler. Thats why I refer to it as 3 chambered much like the CherryBomb pro muffler. The extreme muffler is a true 1 chamber muffler. Either way you want to look at it, the muffler has performed perfectly and I’m very happy with the install. Thanks for watching and leaving a valuable comment.

Hello Marquis, If you go with the M80 or one of the chambered mufflers then yes but is you go with the old school glass pack probably not. Try searching for exhaust on you model car and see what others have done. Thanks for watching..
How would you think it would sound with it on a trailblazer v6 2004, I have one cherry bomb same one bought for it but should I get 2 to put on I’m just curious haven’t seen one on a trailblazer
Which engine do you have the 5 or 6 cylinder in your Trailblazer? I think it would sound great. I would just use one. Will save on install. I use a Cherrybomb pro muffler which is very similar on my Silverado. Both mufflers have very little drown in my opinion. Thanks for watching and commenting.

@@DIYWilly someone told me I have 2 mufflers but wasn’t too sure it would sound decent if I put one on each one
With out looking at you car I can’t tell you for sure what you have. You could have 2 mufflers or 1 resonator and 1 muffler. Do you have 2 tips? Again I’m not familiar with the Trailblazer. But I sure would like one of those 4200 engines to play with. They have huge power potential. I would still say to remove the factory mufflers and install 1 CherryBomb muffler. May need additional tubing to make ends meet but that’s cheap. Most likely free up some extra ponies you may like that. 😬

I am thinking about getting a cherrybomb glass pack for a 1995 nissan D21 its got a 12 valve 4 cylinder, how do you think that would sound?
I think it will sound good. The 4 cylinder engines don’t really sound that deep but I had one on a hardbody and sounded good. Thanks for watching
What’s your set up are you going from the header straight to the Cherry bomb .. No catalytic converter ?
Hello Kung Lao, This Samurai has a 1.6 turbo diesel with no cat. I came straight off the turbo down pipe around to the muffler. Works great for me and I like the sound. This muffler is also much better flowing than my previous muffler allowing the turbo to spool better. Thanks for watching!!

Does it affect your check engine light ?
I have a diesel with no more check engine lights. But installing after the CAT would not give you a check engine. As long as you 02 sensor and CAT are in good condition and working properly. We now how the Samurai’s and the pesky Hitachi carbs destroy the CAT. Assuming you talking about a Samurai.

I have a 1.6 VW Turbo Diesel. But honestly it will sound good with the 1.3 or 1.6 gas engines.
