    The planter is finished, we made extra sign boards for a few holidays or occasions. The planter came out great thanks to the great plans and video. We gave it to my sister in law as a gift and she got all watery eyed. I wish I could post a photo of the finished stand. Thanks Ronnie for the great plan, video, and motivation.

    Great project. I’ve been collecting woodworking projects on CZcams for months and looking for the perfect one to get me off the couch, this was it! It was easy to build and drove me to buy a couple of tools that I wanted, Kreg jig , 90 degree adapter and a long clamp. Now onto stain, planter, hardware and stencils. Hey everyone, do this project, it’s fun and easy once you get started.

    Hey Ronnie!… Great video. Thank you for sharing. A little tip for you… Next time you’re stenciling, if you get bleedthrough. A sharp utility blade or a razor blade can be used as a mini scraper. It’s fine enough so you can do detailed work and it will take it right off.

    Hi Ronnie, quick question. Rather than muck about with stringers at the base , why not simply use what's left of the 2x6x8 and secure that as you would the first lair of feet and remove them instead. This would also resolve the issue of fastening piece onto the stringers to tidy it up.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 2 měsíci +1

      I was going for a unique design. There are plenty of these stands that have that board as the base. I wanted a different look.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 5 měsíci

      Not sure what you're refering to here. From the top of the sliding sign to the top cap of the stand? The rail that is attached to the underside of the top board prevents seeing through that gap. If that's what you're talking about.

    • @RonniesWorkshop
      @RonniesWorkshop  Před 2 měsíci +1

      It's a beveled edge. How I do it is place the side of the board I want the angled cut on against the saw fence. I move the saw arm to 45 degrees, line up the blade so it will only cut the corner off, in this case I left 1/2" straight. Flip the board over so the same side is against the fence and do the other end. I do this a lot with slats that I use on bench or table shelves too. Hope that helps.
