    Did linden labs consider members of sl that can not afford a new graphics card just so there computers can deal with PBR Why is PBR not optional ?

      PBR still works on lower end systems, I was part of Beta testing for Firestorm and ran it on both my gaming laptop and a 10 year old HP laptop, while results vary it still works, one thing I'd recomend it turning off Mirrors for now and if its still laggy, Screen space reflections. :)

      preference under rendering then turn down fps to 15 or 20 , And Networks & files under connection put 500 by kbps , turn down avatars to 5 , turn other sliders down to the middle use what you can. As pbr is still new its was in beta for a while but yes need to make easy for all in the works.

    It’s looking like you need to pay the monthly subscription of $50 USD for Adobe Substance Painter in order to create with the new PBR textures. Can you suggest open source options that are more cost effective?

    Syntax has the best avatar lol. I was beginning to wonder if this was recorded cause I missed it live.
    Kyle - we need more creator tools and ones we have improved. Skeletal animation poser/animator, the TPV already have it, we need to get that into the main client. Same with AO controller. How bout a very bare bones image editor for simple operations?
    Prim and mesh Li equivalency? More types of prims, morphable prims, or boolean operations for prims? If we had something like a built in basic image editor we could do things like paint heightmaps for sculpts in realtime, annotate screen captures, and simple texture edits, etc. If not interested in making new builtin standalone tooling then I don't blame ya but then we need at least better integration tooling so that we can have realtime updates using external tools without having to reupload and break the creative flow with tedious process for testing things.
    As for animations, there really is no good reason why we can't at the minimum change the priority of them.
    Regarding tattoos, why can't we have a decal system similar to All Points Bulletin and other games where we can move around the texture in uv space and position/rotate/scale it wherever in realtime? APB was ahead of it's time with character and object customization in MMO's and there are some good resources regarding it from game dev conferences (GDC).
    We need a better text system. PBR texture changes has messed up most of the old text on prim systems. We need a solution for better text and gui for creators, especially for input.
    SDF textures or text would be awesome as well.
    As a color blind person, I appreciate the thought, and can also say icons/symbols are a great way to compliment contrast.

    Don't take me wrong... But, shouldn't you be wearing the latest outfits and avatars available in SL.?.. Just saying, in order to promote the SL experience.... 😮😮 Come on man...!

      They are but they being them self just as anyone. People do but some like vintage with new together whatever you feel.

      They do have updated avatars wearing how they want to the pbr filming may had a little glitch see the other videos you will see most hair not showing the eyes look black around eyes think was glitch some times hat happens.
