I’m you’re age. My wife and I got married in 2021. Do not let everybody bring a plus one. We regret inviting some people too. This is the most special file of your life. You don’t want to share it with people that you’re not close with. Unless the person has a serious relationship, they don’t get a plus one. It’s not about the money. It’s also a lot of work to go around and talk to everyone and say thank you. The smaller the better trust me. You only want to celebrate this moment with people that you truly truly love. Trust me bro. It’s not weird at all to not let someone bring a plus one if they’re not overly serious with them. You will not regret that decision
Guys. This is not about anyone else. Hurting peoples feelings doesn’t exist in a wedding. It’s about you and her. That’s it. Have groomsmen and bridesmaids. It’s one of the best parts of the wedding. Don’t feel bad if you don’t invite people. Everybody understands.
Good call on not joking about divorce, breaking up, yada yada. Married at 19 and we’ve been married 16 years and that was one of few rules we had from day 1. We are here, that’s not an option let’s work together through all issues. Another one, when you wake up it’s a new day. Don’t carry yesterday’s problems forward.

My husband asked my mother on her deathbed (Se died of lung cancer) a few months before he asked me, and my mom was like: "You really want to marry her?" Such a loving mother :P SO glad he did that, it kinda included my mom in knowing that I would end up with someone who loves me and that everything would be okay :)

I'm so proud and happy for you two!! But I will say after 20 years together (been together since we were 15 & 16) and we do alot of the same things yall do. We have two kids and all the things but when you put each other first and you love each other no matter the day you'll be much more successful and you two are living life right!
