Maybe a little brighter in some places? I notice a lot of pod casters have darker spaces too though so maybe I don’t know what I’m talking about. Overall I really like it, the couch vs table has a way better feel.

I'm 34 with a 10 week old, nearly everything Shawley said is on the money when it comes to having a kid. Very insightful for someone without kids yet. You'll never be ready and you just gotta figure it out as you go along, life changes dramatically that's for sure.
I'm 25 struggling with 2 kids. Just had one with current gf and he's 1 year. About 3 months ago I found out I had a kid with an old university hook up. So now I'm a single dad taking care of 2 women and 2 kids.

I'm 33 with an 11, 9 and 6 year old.. I bring my daughters to ballet EVERY time and coach my sons sports teams. I made it work having a child at 22 lol I dont make MAx money

Shawley absolutely spot on with never being ready for kids! Max you could retire today with more money than 99% of the population, you’re not working to make sure you have enough money for kids, you’re working because it’s your personality, and kids will change that.

I never thought I’d pop in the comments over a sports topic but here we are. LeBron wins if we’re measuring hype. The fact that nobody could name the 2023 NBA finals MVP (who, if anyone is counting , has the current #1 spot for statistically best NBA player according to PER stat) Nikola Jokic is hilarious. I thought Joe almost had it with “European white guy” but they went with Doncic instead.
The entire podcast was a little ridiculous, but the NBA section was cringe... Respectfully ha.

Hot take, the social pressure to get married in your early 30s is mostly responsible for the high divorce rate. Couples who meet when they’re 25 and live with each other 5 years before getting married are way less likely to end up in unhappy marriages than people who marry at 30 who dated for a few months, maybe lived together for a year, and are rushing into a lifelong commitment because they feel they need kids. If not for the kids part of that equation, I think lots of couples would, regardless of their age, wait longer to get married, and probably be less likely to settle. I’m personally a firm believer that you don’t know someone all that well until you’ve lived with them for at least a year or two … when you live with someone for that long, you see them at their worst. But when you just date, you really see only what they want you to see.

I feel like every podcast I watch with Shawley always features a basic english.. "Did you just say that? I don't think you know the meaning of that word." segment LMAO
My husband and I got married at 30 and I felt like I was behind. But then we enjoyed being married for four years. We just gave birth to our first child and we are both now 34. I felt pressured to have kids earlier but honestly I am so grateful we waited and it was perfect timing for the fact of what you said, we are settled financially and know how we work together. Our son is three weeks and it’s been a journey!❤
I watched every second of this, and enjoy y’all’s conversations. I know y’all don’t know me but I would just love to be in the podcast to just chat and have a great time. I’ve been watching y’all’s growth for so long and it would just be awesome to be in y’all’s presence.

This comment is gold. I have thought something similar to this since the first time Joe came on the podcast. Don't get me wrong, I find Joe to be entertaining, as evidenced by my being subscribed to his channel, and I often agree with him on things, but sometimes he's so off base on a topic it's almost laughable. Since Maxx has embraced keeping himself willfully ignorant about a lot of world events/news, I think he just relinquishes all pushback completely on these subjects and basically yields the floor to Joe, even when Joe is dead wrong. While this situation plays out fine for their friendship (no arguments or bad vibes), if Maxx would call out Joe on certain things in a point/counterpoint type of way, I think the podcast would benefit from the informed debate (key word being 'informed')

We had my son when my wife an I were 25, I was the only provider and got laid off from my job a year later, and we did fine. Having a kid when you're "financially stable" is something you think when you don't have kids. Just do it
Parenting is different for every kid. Don’t stress too much. It’s all trial and error. You will just figure it out when the time comes.
