    This is a great idea to make for mothers day stall for gifts for the children to buy for their mums. Monica from Australia

    Is it possible to post the measurements of the required pieces? Without a printer here at the moment. Thank you for sharing!

    I bought the pattern with the “tutorial”
    But no where on it does it say anything about how many inches from top to place 1st pocket. It just says place pocket just over the middle. That could be anything

    • @sewsimplehome
      @sewsimplehome  Před 7 měsíci

      Find the middle and go up a half to 3/4". The two pockets should offset each of slightly. That way you can place tea in each pocket and see what they are.

    Very cool project! I downloaded the pattern and feel like I’m going bonkers. Are the bigger pieces supposed to be square? I’ve measured and cut multiple times. Printed at 100% and remeasured. I’m so confused. Mine does not look proportional to yours. Please help!

      The pattern is correct. The pattern pieces on the video were edited but I guess the new ones didn't make it onto the video. So use the pattern you printed but follow the tutorial. I promise they will work out. Sorry for the confusion.

      @@sewsimplehome Are you sure? The pattern in the download is a square and the pockets are not working out

    • @sewsimplehome

      @@Maryjdredge Just pulled up the pattern and went through the steps. It is working for me. It looks a little strange, but once sewn up with the seam allowances everything works out. The square is 7.25". That is for the base, front and back, and one of the pockets. The pocket piece is for one pocket that is 7.25"x 4.5". You'll see in the video at 2m54sec how the first pocket is higher than the second pocket. It will work. Here is the link to take you right to the spot in the video czcams.com/video/Ut7klo0narA/video.html

      I am going to take a closer look at the pattern and may make a few adjustments still. Thanks

      @@sewsimplehome I have made this tea wallet several times. And I always come back to this one looking for the measurements. It would have helped to put the measurements in the video.

    Great. But measurements I'm gonna guess

    Would fat quarters be too thin for this?

    • @sewsimplehome
      @sewsimplehome  Před 2 lety +1

      A fat quarter would be perfect. That is what I used for the two different fabrics.
