In an interview with Ilyong PD, he mentioned that JJY cried for 30 minutes. But due to airing time, they only aired when JJY had the chance of talking about Gutaeng-hyung, which you see in this video.
It has been 3 years but whenever I watch this, I still cry T.T

I'm watching 2d1n just this quarantine,I am a new fan. For that time i've watch season 3 the most, i had fun watching them and at the same time it was really sad for me how it feels so different now, im not saying that new member is bad i know they are doing well...it's just i appreciate Kim Joohyuck our Gutaeng, brotherhood. it left a big impact for me as a viewer. He makes the show fun but also cares for his brother. Remember the member forever!

"2 Days and 1 Night Season 3" is one of my absolutely favourite shows - I watched each episode from first to last one at KBS World TV and I have all episodes saved in my collection, at USB disks. From JJY scandal in March 2019 - I'm only able to re-watch it.
I went to my first visit in South Korea at 28th October 2017. Just 2 days after I arrived - Joohyuck died.
I will remember forever moment, when I suddenly found out about Joohyuck death from TV news, during changing TV channels at night, after comeback from sightseeing of Seoul. I didn't speak well Korean back then but I understood immediately what happened. It was so surreal, I couldn't believe in this. It felt really horrible.
Actually at that time I didn't know anybody yet there at place, so I couldn't even ask in english to get information if it's somehow possible to visit place where funeral will be held, what to do and where is this place of funeral.
It was so painful to experience such situation being actually at same city when it happened.
I don't want to use vulgar words here but I need to write it.
Jung Joon Young - look what you have done. You were so close with Joohyuck, Juhno, Defconn, Taehyun, Jongmin and later Siyoon - but at same time you had been doing your freak perverted stuff. After Joohyuck quit from show, you had been still in touch with Joohyuck, same as other members. You cried hard after you found out about Joohyuck's death. But no matter what - for whole this time you didn't try change your freak habits. Actually for all these years you had been fooling everybody around you, INCLUDING JOOHYUCK and had been hiding your real personality.
You had been lying to Joohyuck, other friends, staff of TV shows where you participated and finally - you killed "2 Days and 1 Night Season 3". You ruined your victims lifes, ruined fantastic TV show, ruined hard job of other 6 members (we need to remember about Yongjin) and staff members, also caused problems to your band members - obviously they needed to quit too.
THIS IS ABSOLUTE DISGRACE.
I don't know how you could have talk to Joohyuck again after he know about everything. He probably wouldn't want to even look at you. Same if you will ever meet any other person who used to be your friend (exclude your perverted friends who had been doing exactly same stuff). You have no shame and no honour to do all of these and behave like nothing happened until it all had been found out and revealed to police and public.
Ugh, I don't want to relive what happened but after reading your post, it all came back to me... like u, their group was the best crew ever. Though, I started my journey with season 2 (because of Joo Won actually) I came to love the show gradually. And having them as the cast made it perfect. I don't want to deny that JJY was my favorite in the bunch, having a quirky and witty attitude, he contributed greatly to the show. The first scandal he had, I was all in support in having him back to the show because it felt incomplete without him. He did came back, but he wasted it. I am so mad at him even up until now. He took all those good memories from me, now, there wouldn't be a time I would not feel disgusted just by looking at his face... I even bought his music coz honest to goodness, I love his music... Ughhh, I can't...
Same feelings here… S3 will always be the best season for me. I tried to watch S1 and S2, I was not feeling the chemistry and the good vibes. There’s something extremely genuine and beyond explanation about the S3 members’ chemistry - it’s so real. I’m rewatching S3 again, I couldn’t watch the last episodes before because of JJY’s scandal. I just finished the episode where Kim Joo Hyuk left after two years in the show. I’m just so disappointed because the hard work of the other members and everyone involved where gone to waste in the blink of an eye… I couldn’t bring myself to watch what happened also to the other members after that chaos with JJY. I mean, Joo Hyuk’s passing was hard enough but that kid’s hidden reality was making everything harder that time. Everything went downhill for all of them then, because of the actions of one kid behind closed doors. 😪 I see CTH, Junho, and Jongmin at some shows… and I feel mixed emotions when I see them now, I feel happy that they’re back in the industry but sad because they could’ve done so much more… the things S3 could’ve done more to make people happy. 😪 I haven’t seen Deffcon and Donggu recently… What happened to S3 was just… so heartbreaking… JJY could’ve just stayed away, but the people believed in him, I did too at the beginning. But how selfish of him to come back still knowing the truth of his actions. He was so lucky that the show wanted him back, the people too. Just to destroy S3 and give it the worst ending ever. 😪
You put into words what I've been feeling for the past four years. S3 was one of the best cast with the greatest chemistry and I still can't believe Joohyuk has passed away in the accident.
I also feel so much shame at JJY and wish he never did what he did. Your comment brought me back to the memories of how I would wait every Sunday for a new episode to drop...
Season 3 is definitely the best. It's so sad how it had to end that way. Their chemistry is just unbeatable. This show saved me during my darkest days back in 2016. I was able to finish the whole season though I've come to know it pretty late. Now, I'm going through another tough time, I'm rewatching it.
@@theasianbelle Yes 😃 It's simply the best for me too. I rewatch it constantly with other great shows (not only Korean). That's only thing which can do about it.

If you haven't watched season 3 right from the start, you'll probably be one of those ppl criticizing jjy for the crime that he committed. But if that wasn't the case, you'd still understand that he took part of the great show and has feelings to. He was close to the late Joohyuk and we shouldn't atleast take that away from him. Let his wrongdoing eat him up till he turns old but that doesn't mean that you'd still criticize him for mourning for Joohyuk.
Exactly.. I too condomen his wrongdoings yet he still has that right to mourn for gutaeng hyung. Heartbreaking, up to now this still makes me cry.

I randomly started watching this when they do parody for 'descendant of the sun'. So idk who is Kim Joo Hyuk is. Until they suddenly played early s3 episode and then this episode hits me real hard. People like you will be missed by many my brother.

In the end, JJY and Joohyuk became really close. I watched the first 3 episodes when they were still very uncomfirtable with each other. I miss you Joohyuk. And I just watched that episode where they had a parking game where Joohyuk was the ace and boasted of his record of being an army driver and for all the years of his driving, he hasn't had one single accident. So sad about what happened to him. Rest in peace, Joohyuk 💜💜💜

For these past 2 month, since Gutaeng died, i've been avoiding the new episodes of 1 Night 2 Days. I'm not ready yet to watch it, and today i checked. I realize there was just re-run and i'm thinking they were not ready too for casting new episodes.
I always follow their trip at the first episodes of season 3 and the existence of Kim Joo-Hyuk is so important for them.
