i know people say that Miku's english is bad, but when i can understand it, it gets a stamp of approval from me.

I'm starting to wonder if this is how the japanese hear miku. We don't understand how to pronounce the japanese words or what they mean, so maybe she really does sound like a computer... I'm being real stupid.
I don't really get your comment :/ But by guessing: Japanese have very simple pronounciation, it is very difficult to synthesise English. The other reason is, this is similar Japanese English pronounciation, so Japanese can understand it better.

Japanese and English are very different languages. You can compare japanese pronunciation of Miku's songs to actual Japanese to see that they've nailed the language down fairly nicely. English is a different matter since our language has thousands of pronunciations, also given the fact that Miku is still using the restricted ~110 syllables that she only has in Japanese, you'll find her English is very terrible.
tl;dr Miku is like most of the Japanese population, they're good at Japanese, terrible at English.
MasterYoshitaka TheCheungDan No she wasn't talking about her pronunciation of English vs Japanese. She said maybe she really does sound like a computer. She's wondering if when a native Japanese speaker hear's Miku, do they really not hear a robotic computer voice, like how we can clearly tell it's a voice synthesizer in this song, or do they just hear a regular person singing? From what I've seen, it's a mix of both. They played one of Miku's songs in a shopping district once and many of the shoppers thought it was a real person singing. On the other hand, my friend says she can clearly tell it's not a real person singing because her voice sounds very robotic to her, and difficult to understand too, even if Japanese is more syllabic compared to English. I guess it really just depends on the person, and the song too

This is definitely one of my favorite songs done with her. I know she's the face of vocaloid but I never really thought of her what it had to offer, because I don't like how high her voice is. This song weirdly suits her, even the deeper voice isn't what we usually hear. It sounds really strong too.

Those complaining, the voice provider doesn't speak English. Vocaloid had very little to work with. It may sound different, but unless the VP can magically learn English in a few years, nothing can be done.

So much better than the Original. Even though her voice isn't "nearly" there, I guess it's pretty good compared to others, but the developers of Vocaloid should really improve her English Voice.

I like how Miku sounds autotuned so it's not like it's bad, but that's the thing, her voicebank sounds autotuned all the time (or her English does) and it disappoints me that Kaito and Gumi have ridiculously better English. Autotuning a Vocaloid is easy but making them sound realistic is hard.....Crypton went down the wrong path with Miku English.
Sometime's it's a novelty to have her not sound real. Personally I like the artificial type, and you can't forget it's all in the hands of the producer.
that is very VERY true. I like her very artificial sounding voice, but that went away....and I can't blame anyone for this mistake. It's not Crypton's fault they wanted to do something new.
Daelynn Sandage-Shofner Prior to recording, Saki Fujita (Miku's VP) had no English skills AT ALL O_O. I think MEIKO English should cover this though :D
well personally i think miku sounds great i can understand her just fine and she still sounds like herself compared to her jp voice.... but hey we all have our own opinions. btw miku's voicer doesnt even speak english she went thruough alot recording her vb so give her some credit its not easy for her... i love mikus english its great to me but again its just my opinion... hey circus p's origional vampire song he made was proof :) again its just my op
Miku English doesn't sound naturally auto-tuned. Her voice just has a slightly lower tone to it and the same character sounds to it as for getting her to sound like V2 Miku that's not all that difficult. Her clarity is is the actually lyric build. And auto-tune isn't easy although it makes things sound nice with a little more ease than tuning does.
She should sing this at artRave !!!!
