Hmm I think some of these could happen for other reasons as well 🤣 for example, number 3 used to happen to me a lot, but that was because I had facial hair on my upper lip 🤷♀️ I didn’t realize it until after I got rid of it
1. People would do this for you if you reminded them of someone they personally know; like their grandma, their pug, or their favourite character- Dobby.
2. People with social skills do this. If someone turned to you crying, proclaiming they're ugly and you don't act surprised; that's just bloody rude.
3. People would do that if you looked freakishly ugly as well.
4. Not really insecure then, are you.
5. I think everyone would be nervous around you if you resembled Chucky.
I would like to say that personally, I have a friend who isn't exactly like this, but is more attractive than they give themselves credit for. They constantly beat themselves down unfairly, and treat themselves like they are less than dirt due to how they have been treated by others over the years. A couple other friends and I try cheering them up, but never seems to work, and their self loathing never seems to stop. I truly do platonically love them, and they are a talented artist, but their self loathing is some of the worst I have ever seen in my life
Your description of your friend is, I will say earnestly, identical to my own attitude towards myself.
Whenever I proceed to sabotage myself for being inept and untalented, my friend systematically reminds me that I do indeed possess talents and that the litanty of my sentiments representing me as someone who is bereft of talent or any other adequate abilities is tremendously discrepant with the actuality, however regardless of how many attempts he makes at freeing me from the chains of my biased resent towards myself, his enchanted words of charm are always deflected by the bulwark of these delusions. And my self-loathing is on an extreme magnitude too, perhaps even more intense compared to the one of that aforesaid friend of yours.
@@pendantairplane Having "high standards" isn't always a good thing as it can mean "perfectionism" which leads straight to depression and self loathing as the person never feels good enough. Not feeling good enough isn't "fine they way they are" - this needs to change for the better.
I would suggest therapy for your friend, but I don't mean counselling - I mean a therapy that is more interactive like psychotherapy. These feelings about self are developed early in life and hence are hard to combat until fully brought out in the light. Your friend needs to talk more kindly to their self as if they are their own best friend, and to forgive their self as they would others.

Moving from the inside of the head to the outside, don’t neglect the value of doing whatever you can reasonably do to enhance your physical appearance.
1. #1 is physical fitness. It has been indisputably proven that physical fitness greatly enhances one’s self-image & confidence levels.
2. Cutting-edge cosmetic surgery (No pun intended) can achieve INCREDIBLE changes in one’s appearance. In most cases, this too can greatly enhance one’s self-image.

Actually it is! Unfortunately women have been made by society to be “beautiful” and to compare with other women so if other women give u dirties, well dont they feel jealous and threatened by how good you look ;)
People give me second looks because sometimes I wear a donkey head costume to school
I receive stares a lot just because I'm in German village, they think it's normal. Additionally, I don't look like German, so it's all about angry or suspicious discrimination stares

Nobody is ever physically ugly. Only ugly of heart. Everyone is unique and we are all beautiful in our own way. And just because someone is physically so-called "beautiful", doesn't mean they are happy or treated well. Some of the most beautiful people in the world are the most unhappiest because they are constantly worried about how they look and can end up in abusive relationships.

I’m confused how I am all of these things
I had a conversation with a friend about this yesterday and she said it took her time to become more comfortable with how she looks but now she feels great whenever she takes photos or records videos. Sometimes it’s not just how good you look, but how good you feel that makes you look that much better!

I was a really awkward teenager and young adult who was bullied a lot (often by women faking attraction to me) so I tend to assume any/all signs of attraction are insincere. That said, I've been getting random compliments lately now that I'm in my late 30s and I am really good at "passing" as neurotypical.

For me it took a lot of practice and learning to keep things to myself and not talk but just listen.

One day I was at the community center with my boyfriend and I mentioned something about how I didnt like how I looked in front of a few of my friends and they all looked at me and were like "claire, how could you not like yourself? youre beautiful!" and it made me feel good :)

It doesn't hurt to be self-aware that you are not attractive, but confidence level is only boosted by attractiveness, confidence is a lot more attractive alone, Rock it hard Padawan! There are so many more ingredients in this game then raw attractiveness, you can be an effective spirit, with actions, actions speak louder than words!

I experience the opposite. I have to ask people to help me (often ask multiple times) and they barely do the minimum - if they do anything at all. People look at me and sometimes stare. Not because they like me. because the laugh at me and talk behind my back. And no, I never have experienced people doing extra measures just to make me happy. And I have never ever been told "you are beautiful".
Sometimes I love just wearing headphones and lying down on my bed listening to your videos... Your voice is so calming and I love thinking stuff through while just closing my eyes. Your videos are so helpful and always makes me feel better!

Honestly my favorite trait about my self probably is how I can look in the mirror and tell myself I look good. It’s just recently dawned on me that I can do this and not even think about it because there was a point where I was so concerned about everything about myself. My weight (which I was being really over dramatic about because I’m average for someone my age), my hair, my clothes, my teeth, just everything. All it took for me was a few new clothes and a haircut and honestly I’m pretty confident in how attractive I am and it’s totally good enough for me. I’ve come to love my hair and I still don’t like my teeth but I’m working on it and I couldn’t be happier. Another thing I’ve realized is how much I adore how people look and something to think about is that those people may look at you that same way. Thanks for this video and all your videos! ❤

Thank you for this. I recently lost a lot of weight and I've always thought that I was ugly. Now people stare at me on the train and when they're passing by but instead I feel a little insecure. Maybe they are laughing at my style or my looks. But I remember just to smile and if anyone looks at you, dont be the one to look away. Own your happiness and feel carefree to be who you are.

Yes. Even if your not attractive that day- remember this- people don’t generally take time to notice someone or things that they don’t find interesting or entertaining. So if ya get the “people are staring at me” Feeling, enjoy it because they’re taking time out of their day to enjoy something about or because of you. Good or bad it’s still a win for you.
Because, I know I don’t waste my time looking at uninteresting people, while I’m out in public. That’s too boring!) Plus negative people who make other’s feel bad, Normally have a difficult personal life- so we feel bad for those meanies not bothered. Bless their bitter resentful hearts. people always get nervous for some reason when talking to me, everyone of my friends first impression of me was cold and intimidating idk why though-
I did have some women approach me when I have entered a club or a bar-- I often believe it is due to the surroundings or their slight intoxication for their behavior. I don't really take it seriously. I thank them and keep it moving.

I accepted this in my early 20s because I had all these signs.
People say my looks have gotten me special treatment, but it has also gotten me judgement. I'm not vain or stuck up, I have to prove my humility and that I have pure intentions
I had no clue I was attractive until I turned 28, ever since then I've been learning to just be myself and never care what others think. A very attractive woman told me once, "the price of beauty is pain", beauty is in the eyes of the beholder and we all give value to that which we admire most!
And with self confidence, your attractiveness only increases!

The fact I found my best friend the prettiest in my class when i first saw her, but i was to nervous to talk to her, but she also found my the pretiest and even said she found me funny and cool but she was nervous and that she trusted me in a month because she saw who loyal i am.

Once two girls walked past me, when I sat on a little bench and wrote something in a book. In the corner of my eye I saw, that one girl looked at me and whispered something to her friend, so I looked up. I cought both of them looking back to me with a smile. They recognized that I saw them and started giggling. I think they felt a bit embarrassed.
I don't know if that was good or bad, but I felt.. special. Still remembering that after about a year now

I was always thinking about my appearance. Every time I hear a compliment, I just say thank you, but in my head I second guess myself, like, why anyone would like me, while some girl not even trying to hide their attraction. It’s ruining my life, because I’m understand that some people see me attractive, but my inner judge doesn’t always allow me to appreciate it.
