    I don’t have a 4x4 but I was able to install the antenna using an Antenna Mount that lets me install it on the fender so it’s easy to install just a little less secure but has worked perfectly for me

    I don't have bullbar. How to mount on 2024 79 lc aerial??

  • @zacandmillie
    @zacandmillie Před 3 lety

    What's with the interchanging of aerial and antenna? Aerials are for receiving like your car radio aerial, antennas are for receiving and transmitting.

    Also, the bandwidth of HF pales in comparison to UHF. Trying to hear anything usable on HF is impossible unless you’re blasting 50W

    I just purchased TX3120SPNP (on line order) - it is so tiny, you call it Compact, that is understatement, should call it 'micro' - was shocked how small it is - great for the car but not for what I need. I need to set up a home base unit that will plug into the 240 mains system. Need to have a discussion with the guys to work out how I am going to power this unit in my office for 24/7 supply. Love the unit for the car but very disappointed for what I need, way to small.

  • @anja9039
    @anja9039 Před 2 lety

    After having my unit for 3 mths TX3120SPNP - several different antenna's my unit is still not working - can only intermittently receive and can not transmit. I was told this unit would suit my needs - I am a emergency service operator with CREST and purchased this unit specifically for my roll as a volunteer. Fortunately it has not been a busy season due to the Covid Lock down and boarder closures. To say I am 'NOT HAPPY ' and quiet annoyed would be an understate as this product is not living up to the promised expectations. Tried contacting GME and all I get is a recording asking to hang on as they are busy - hung on for ages and then line dropped out.

    HI Guys, I have a GME TX3350 and can't find a function I am looking for which is the ability to Flip Flop between two different channels if it is available.
    For example, I may be on Channel 18 and want to Flip to Channel 40 then back to channel 18.
    Is there a function that allows me to do that without having to scroll up and down the channels?

    • @GMEaus
      @GMEaus Před 3 lety +1

    hey guys, is the 2 watt handheld a good starting point option for when travelling in a convoy? for example to be used when driving along the beach or spotting on tracks. or is it better to just get the 5 watt? cheers

      There are always variables.
      However there is a CZcams presentation, by one of the 4WD identities, which quite clearly demonstrates that you'll be able to transmit and receive at distances well over 5km . . . as far as 10km in reality. He's using the GME 370C and comparing both 2.1dBi and 6.1dBi.
