- Hi loves!
Today, I bring you a new concealer! This one is straight from the drugstore and it’s listed at only $6 USD!
I reviewed their original formula early last year and, from what I remember, I actually liked the formula :) So I was excited to try this hydrating version.
P.S. Sorry about sounding a little nasally. I’m getting over a cold AND it’s allergy season :(
Anyway, thank you all so much for watching!

Could u make a video on your favorite drugstore concealers? ❤️❤️
Thank you Sarah, you are the best dark circle concealer lady I know! 😁 I always look forward to your reviews. We have similar skin tone and type- you basically do all the hard work for me. So thank you for making life easy for me when it comes choosing the best concealers.
Yes please do an updated video how to conceal under your eye. Would love to see how you use Becca color corrector as well. Please
I too have dark under eye circles and fine lines under my eyes so your wear tests really have helped me in that area. I felt the same about this concealer. I tried it due to the hype but it did not provide me with the high coverage that I need. Thank you for your content. I love it!
Was it dry on you? FAB Bendy Avocado is dry on me 🤷♀️ I’m at a loss of what to even TRY.
@@SusieQ1971 I totally hear you. I have tossed so much money down the drain, and when I finally find something that DOES work (Too Faced Radiant concealer) it gets discontinued and replaced with a matte version. Lately I’ve been mixing a dot of Creaseless on the back of my hand with Tarte Glow wand (LOVE Glow wand and even wear it alone) then tap it in - I also warm up the tubes in my lap as I’m doing the rest of my makeup (I do concealer last so the eye cream(s) and oil can really sink in). I think Creaseless gets a bad rap because people swipe it on like a regular liquid concealer, but it’s not a regular liquid concealer - think of it as a “liquidy solid”, not watery, but so emollient you literally need one dot (or 2) at the most. I hope they never discontinue it - It’s definitely polarizing - people love or hate it. What’s funny is someone’s “con” could be my “pro”, like I prefer eye creams that are thick and don’t sink in - Bobbi Brown extra repair eye cream is the best I’ve found, but they recently reformulated it and it sinks in faster - it’s still good but I liked the original a tad better. I try to match the ingredients of my eye creams to the concealer so they don’t repel each other. I prefer thick creams with oils and such high up on the list because nothing else keeps me hydrated all day.
@@SusieQ1971 hi. Believe me I know how aging powder is - Laura Mercier Secret Brightening powder? Probably the worst - I saw vertical lines when I used it. It sounds like you have a good idea to use setting spray patted in - I haven’t tried that yet - what setting spray do you like? There’s so many! I watched a video from Elle Leary and she listed best powders for mature under eyes and one that I started using is Hourglass ambient light in Ethereal Light, or Diffused light. I use Real Techniques setting brush, something really small, touch the powder, tap off any excess, and lightly pat my under eyes. I use the smallest amount possible, so the powder will last forever (it’s also great to buff if the edges of eyeshadow to get rid of any lines). I miss when I could use whatever concealer I wanted, like Covergirl stick concealer in a tube (during the 80’s) and not even use an eye cream - ironically when I didn’t need much makeup I piled it on, now it takes me longer to try and look “natural”. The struggle is real - lol.
Stephanie Marie also has done a recent best eye creams under makeup and she’s uber picky with both, has dark circles and is dry. She links her favorite concealers and foundation color matches too, which is helpful because I’m slightly more neutral, and a little lighter than she is, although she looks about the same (maybe I wear too light of colors 😆). Her holy grail was Tarte Creaseless BEFORE it was in the tube, so before so many new ones hit the market - what I do is gauge how she ranks things, since I haven’t tried several of the ones she likes, but if she says “it’s slightly drier than X”, and I know X is dry on me I know to stay away from it. There are so many new ones and a lot of them are polarizing, like Hourglass Vanish - people love or hate. What I like about her is she talks about what application techniques work, which is helpful to know if it’s finicky too, and she definitely tries different methods.
I’m not the best person for advice on what is the best combinations because I have been sticking to cream concealers in a pot, or Tarte. I probably layer too much cream, oils, heavier cream, but ones that have silica for brightening (ELF had one in a rollerball tube that came out sparkly white) seem to pill really bad when I put on another cream on top. I’ve noticed some that have kaolin can feel dry (Hourglass Retoucher), which is ironic - it absorbs oil, so why put it in a concealer? I wouldn’t say my concealer is the longest lasting, but I can just dab a tiny bit in the darkest spots if I feel the need - I would actually rather have a touch of darkness at the end of the day than cake. I wish dark circles were considered attractive, because they can make people look “mysterious” and attractive, I think - I always thought Selma Blair and Kristen Stewart look better when their circles are showing.
I know this is long but I had a lot to say 😊
@@wendyraye what about the born this way concealer thats all by too faced? Thats really full coverage
@@mero2627 I tried it and like it for a bit but it gets really dry and crackly. They had a radiant one and got rid of it before radiant concealer was the thing - such bad timing.
I've been watching your videos for a while but never commented. I really love your reviews, and product recommendations. As another dark under eye circle mom, I appreciate your opinion! Thank you 😊
3:27 I put the fresh and the dry swatches side by side on my graphic editor and they look pretty much the same, as did your undereye after application. The difference is minimal, if at all.
Yes, the original Camo Concealer (16h) oxidized a lot, but Elf corrected that problem, and they are not supposed to change drastically once dried anymore, which is why even though you (a few times) stated it looked much better once dried, you still had to use the much darker medium warm to get it closer to your skintone.
My problem is that i have small dark circle but some puffnes also and its not easy to correct that...you should create your own concealer, would be great one😉😀
She has the BEST review videos on youtube💯💛
THANK YOU FOR THIS VIDEO! Under eye bagged women unite! Please do an updated corrector + concealer video with drugstore concealers especially!
How are you not at 100K?? You are beyond awesome! I love your videos! 🥰🥰🥰 soon, very soon!🤗
Your videos are really really helpful when I'm up for buying a new hyped concealer... which is quite often (hate to admit that 🙈). You've saved me so many times from wasting my time & money in the wrong products. I'm seriously obsessed about buying the Georgio Armani power fabric concealer, pls do a review test on it, have been waiting for so long. ❤
I know this is old but the hunt for concealer seems never ending 😂
@Denise oh yes... it is neverending indeed. Try the urban decay quickie 24hr full coverage concealer. Or Pat mcgrath/hourglass... love them to bits
i had a totally different experience with this concealer. On me its full coverage, it never creased and lasted all day.
is it okay for daily wear? not too heavy?
@@ujalabatool8154 (I'm on a dif. account) Yea i use it everyday, if u have used the Pretty Fresh concealer from Colourpop , its pretty similar, but i found a better shade with Elf
@@elsitahanson oh thankyou ,that helped.
have a better new year and stay safe.
It's funny but for me it worked fine initially then over time it would crease and look dry.
@elsitahanson did it work cuz u have oily skin or combination skin? Or do u have dry skin?
Love watching your videos. You are one of the first you tube videos channels that I subscribed to and still continue to watch. You seem to be very honest in your reviews. I truly appreciate that. Thank you so much.
Please do an updated video! I have really dark circles and I always struggle to correct them.
I'd like to see what it looks like without the powder to see if it does settle into lines or looks dry.
💯 I really take your opinion into consideration vs falling for some false hype from Insta gurus. Thank you for your helpful videos!!!
Which one do you consider better ....milani or elf?
I have dry under eyes and this concealer didn't work for me also..Great review.💗💜
Hi! Wich concealers are the best for you?
What nail polish are you wearing? It's so pretty :)
ooh, I just bought this! Can't wait to see if you like it
well shoot. Guess I'm returning!
Review on new elf halo glow powder 😍
Hi- God bless you.
First time to you're channel.
Great review.
Btw- What are you using for you're lashes? Do you have a video for lashes?
You look so young and nice with light eye shadow just like me
Would you say that the medium peach es more on the light- yellowish side?
I didn't like either. I mean I probably had the wrong shade (too yellow). But I also don't like the regular camo.. lol I was wondering if I should go buy a different shade but probably I should stop throwing good money at this. Especially if I have other good things I like better... Thanks for the review!👏👏
I’m gonna have to check out the Pat McGrath powder
Brushes always give a fuller coverage
Why u didnt get mediun beige shade it will fit u as the original one
Unfortunately I had the same experience
I was really hoping this elf hydrating concealer, would be the last resort for me and my ultra dry under eyes... I'm starting to give up on finding a concealer, that's going to work for my skintype.
I just tried the Nyx can't stop won't stop concealer which I know a lot of people love, but I think it was made for people with normal to oily skin. On my under eyes, it looked like alligator skin *sobs* 😭😭😭
You should try the hourglass one if you haven’t already. That or the Pat Magrath. The setting powder from both of those is also the best I have ever had. I’ve tried most concealers, foundations and powders. Those two concealers and powders are my hg! I haven’t tried the pat Magrath foundation, but have the Hg and I am not keen on it. But the concealers and powders are something else!
@@Beauty-mad ooh, it's a bit pricey! But I'll treat myself, since I'm not travelling this year 😋 Thank you for your recommendation ☺️
Zainab Raibati yes they are. But I absolutely swear by especially the hg one. I love both that and the pat one but I think the hg is just a little bit better. The pat powder is my favourite out of the two powders. Both are just something else though. It’s worth the splurge in my opinion
@@Beauty-mad I will definitely give it a try! Which eye cream do you use underneath it, if any?
Zainab Raibati I have so many. My current favourites for the day are the hylamide eye serum and just a vitamin c one or even the nivea one from the drugstore. In the evening I use the hylamide one followed by my Elemis pro collagen marine eye. But I switch it up a fair bit and I’ve not found an eye cream I have used not to work with the HG one. I’ve only tried the ones above with this one so far though. All work for me.
Can you do a skin care video please
Updated under eye video 🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️🙆🏽♀️
Do you think this would be good if you don't have dark circles
Yes
I want to bought it and I'm from india. How can i?
You're sitting so far away it's little hard to get a good review
I’m the anomaly you’ll never meet - I tried FAB Bendy Avocado concealer and it was DRY, and I don’t wear powder - how is that possible? I used to think Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away was the limit of how dry I can handle and thought this would be way less drying - WRONG. I’m not sure if there’s any help for me to cover dark circles 😢 Is be happy with looking like you with only the Becca.
En español por favor
I thought you and Trina Duhra were the same CZcamsr/Person 😮
5:28 💋
That's too bad
I really wish I waited for you to review this concealer before I bought it.. I feel I wasted my coins buying this stuff..
Stellar G me too !!
I wished i watch your video before i got it. i am so disappointed from this product its so overrated
