Bad Apple!! [4K 60fps] w/ English & Japanese Subtitles (2023 Remaster) (Download)

- This is my attempt to make a definitive remaster of the original Bad Apple!! video and it's English + Japanese subtitles.
The video is 4K @ 60 fps. I also have created what I believe to be the best subtitles for the video, with tracks including both the original Japanese and the best English fan translation.
The AI upscale was done using waifu2x, and the frame interpolation I did using RIFE. Scene transitions have been also been automatically repaired. I spent a lot of time doing test-runs to get the parameters tweaked just right. I think these are the best results possible with current technology.
I also put a lot of effort into the subtitles. Please let me know if they are off at all.

Even HDR would be a welcome addition, Bad Apple would really benefit from that

It’s just black and white so I guess one way to do it would be to make it stupidly bright and the blacks still staying as true blacks…
Idk I always wanted to know what would bad apple would look like in HDR, on an OLED TV, with the brightest whites and darkest blacks…

I don't think the translation used is the best, it is inaccurate at parts
I think Kisaki's and David Toth's translations are better

Correct, it misses some specific points and wordings used in the Japanese. However, when the Japanese is translated more literally, it comes off as clunky, and often removes the reader from the emotional core of the lyrics. Additionally, not being able to "sing along" in one's head limits the enjoyment of the experience.
I feel that these lyrics are a fantastic compromise between getting most of the the literal points translated, conveying emotion in a more native way, and also matching the rhythm and rhymes of the original lyrics.
One thing I do regret in this translation is that it appears to end on a bleak note. When looking at various translations, I feel it in fact is more of a hopeful ending, perhaps a start of a large but important change. The wording of the final phrase is crucial to me. A more accurate translation would be along the lines of "If I were to open up my mental eyelids, then I would destroy everything, and I would turn it dark." This to me speaks to a realization that there is a way to change for the better, however it may simply be the opposite (black) of what you believe you need (white).
Overall amazing lyrics. I'm open to links for particularly accurate English translations to add as "literal translations" here.
