Actually seeing a lot more emotion and soul in the facial animations compared to the previous entries. Looks promising
Yeah that was my main concern with this game. Looks like they addressed it.
Not so compared to the original titles before Odyssey, still feels slightly unnatural and too RPG like for my taste. Although it's similar to Origins which isn't so bad i guess.
It looks amazing tbh, and looks way better than I thought it would. Both characters looks to be very fun and very different which is great

Yeah it does. I just watched the full thing and wow. The stealth looks sick and like a ton of fun. It does look the cutscenes have been vastly improved from the last three games as well. Starting to actually get excited for this game. Kinda wish I had a ps5...

The yasuke combat seems amazing,
heavy weoghty impactful and somewhat grounded.
this just might be the best combat in a decade.
enemies have low hp, you can break/strip their armor piece by piece, and they seem to have some sorta sekiro posture bar, block enough of their blows and then you can just instak'll them.
this is cool af
its ubisoft, they WILL mess it up.

Ubisoft have done Pirates, Spartans and Vikings but the Ninja/Shinobi archetype is arguably the most important archetype they will ever do for an Assassin's Creed game. For obvious reasons. The fact that it's Ubisoft Quebec has me worried though but... we'll see. 5+ months left to polish and refine the game. I wouldn't mind if it was a 2025 release but they gotta get that fall release date.
The ninja/shinobi archetype is what I’ve been waiting for in an AC game since I’ve played the AC1. That being said I don’t care too much for Yasuke’s gameplay even though it does seem satisfying in its own way. Naoe’s gameplay feels like a dream come true for me. I loved Ghost of Tsushima but the one thing Assassin’s Creed had over that game is their parkour system. With AC Shadows I’m finally getting the true ninja/shinobi game I’ve been waiting for 👌

Animations looks really great! Doesn’t feel like they recycled Valhalla like they did with Mirage.
Looks decent enough - love the rope dart's use in parkour and the stealth mechanics, but I wish the parkour was more like the Ezio games where you had to actually be conscious of the path you're taking rather than just having the characters fly up walls like they're being abducted by aliens.
Ghost of Tsushima really set the bar for samurai games.
Rise of the Ronin was disappointing to say the least. I hope this one won’t be so bad.
Rise of the ronin has better combat or at least looks like it compared to shadows

Very much "meh", also the combat looks mediocre, not much cool. Somehow thet managed to make a katana and ninja combat uninteresting. The only thing i like is the environment and setting. Also parkour very bland
