What is the social security of being a Nigerian citizen? Government does not provide good drinking water, no hospitals, no fully functioning schools, no pension funds, no good roads, loan to start business, yet people are elected to the Senate and House of Representatives and people gather to eat and drink with them during elections. Why should people continue to sing one Nigeria, what is the benefit, yet you people are talking about “go fund me”. How long can you do go fund me? Is it not more meaningful for people to come together and work on referendum so future generations do not have to go through what current generation is going through, for how long will this wretchedness continue?

Recently, the US 3-letteragency published figures in their website putting Ibo population ahead of Yorubas and all hell broke lose. According to a Nigerian minister in a wartime interview one of the military aims of the 1967-70 war was to "reduce Ibo numbers". So yes, they really are.
