- "The Rifleman" is a classic American Western television series that premiered in 1958. As we look back on the show 65 years after its debut, we remember the talented cast that brought the characters to life. Chuck Connors, who played the lead role of Lucas McCain, passed away in 1992 at the age of 71. However, his portrayal of the tough and skilled rifleman is still remembered by fans of the show today. Despite the passing of some of its cast members, "The Rifleman" remains a beloved show that continues to capture the hearts of audiences today. Its memorable characters, engaging storylines, and classic Western setting have made it a timeless classic that generations of fans have enjoyed. I still w watch the Rifleman every day
I watch these every day...now
R I P to all the cast of the rifleman
Johnny’s brother was in several episodes and he is still alive.
Sad to see that Johnny Crawford passed away.I remember watching him on the Rifleman. We were both the same age and watched him growing up.Back in the 60s just about every show on prime time was either a western or a cop series.
Johnny Crawford used to visit orphanages and Children's Hospitals when he was in the military. He was like a grown up Mark McCain.
loved his show when I was younger. RIP
I remember watching "The Rifleman", when it was in it's prime, people would come up to me and tell me I looked just like Johnny Crawford, I'll never forget that. I loved that show, I lived for it to come on TV, I never missed an episode.
It's on metv
What a great memory and a nice thing for anyone to say!!! Yeah, I watched it too as a kid!
@@pattyjones6285 ,
Thank you, Patty.🙂
@@zimjun7 ,
I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did, zimjun7.
Ur welcome Bobby tucker
Paul Fix died in the early 80's. Everyone is gone now from that show, very sad.
The Rifleman was my favorite. Good shows back then, Maverick, Wagon Train, Sugarfoot, Wyatt Earp, Cheyenne and so many more family shows then. Not so much today.
Don't forget Sky King!
I watch almost everyday on Pluto TV. Definitely one of my favorite westerns of all time.
ALL R.I.P ⚰🌹 I LOVE THIS SHOW!!💗
Great show and thanks for the memories.
Johnny Crawford was my first cowboy crush. I was so in love with him and his horse, Blu. I followed his career until his death . He was a great actor and talented singer. Yeah, I miss him.
I got Johnny Crawford's autograph at an event in Scottsdale. A very nice person.
Western shows were my favorite TV on Saturday’s. My dad and I would watch every
Episode. My dad loved Rifleman so much , I had
to get him another Beer during the commercials.
Growing up in the late 60’s and 70’s , Westerns was a young boy’s favorite show . This one was and always will be my favorite.
R.I.P. to all of the cast members 🙏🏻
Johnny Yuma!
Branded?

Watched the show often times with my Grandfather. I still watch on MeTV.
Still shown on METV. RIP to all.
Loved johnny Crawford and it disgusts mw that you never mentioned he was a singer after the show ended, before he came to the end of his life. Come on yall yry t0 do dome justice to our favorite characters! So Alzheimers did not kill him but covid19 and pneumonia did!
Tell the truth!
Loved the Rifeman and used to watch it on METV every Saturday!❤RIP to the cast members all gone on to their reward up above now!❤
Watch it everyday at 2 pm
Loved watching a lot of these old shows all the time. They were all great shows back then
I wish rifleman been a hour-long western classic like bonanza
reported fake thumbnail !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
i was in love with Jonnie Crawford when I was little...did not know he died like that...how sad.

Loved that show!
Great show. It's one of my favorites to watch as I go to bed. Not that it's boring, but comforting and that's why I watch it at night
What a great TV series but this video is a joke nothing is correct it should be banned. Must be made in China.
The musical score on The Rifleman was the best especially the scenes when Lucas McCain cocked that rifle it meant trouble for the guy on the other side😂😂
I named my first son and child Lucas after the Rifleman when he was born in '72. My name happens to be Mark.
This is--still!--one of my all-time favorite shows. Chuck Connors looked SO much like my own father, they could've been related.
I was 7 years old when the show aired
I was like a lot of people every weekend my dad and I watched all the good old westerns
loved watching it.
OMG I feel soo old now.
I loved this show..
That theme song of "The Rifleman" still echos in my childhood memories. How much that simple Black & White TV show resides effortlessly there.
Mine too
That was awesome.
NEVER MISSED AN EPISODE ON TUESDAY NIGHTS!!!
There should be a correction mica torrence Was played by. Paul fix.
Yeah I remembered him he was rifleman long time ago
What a kid he was...Any man would be proud to call him son.
Did a great job displaying the actors age pictures and whereabouts best one ive ever seen ❤Iowan
Jonny had great singing vocals
Thanks for the video
Showing a picture of Johnny missing his legs is a bunch of crap and leaves you with no credibility.
Yes, what was that all about? He didnt loose his legs.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I remember watching a video on Johnny Crawford, he was the leader of a big band that played just the oldies from back in those days, funny it never mentioned anything about him losing any body parts, none whatsoever.
@@BobbyTucker He didn't. Was still walking up until his death.
@@BobbyTucker do you want a boyfriend🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
My absolute fav show as a kid
Great show
Chuck Connors was a Seton Hall man.. and a Professional baseball and basketball player.
Paw! Paw!!
It was Paul Fix! , He came out in many western s
Peter Whitney was a real favorite on the rifleman.
Thank you for keeping us updated on how they passed away and the reason why they passed of ok and love the show also
I really like this show!
My favorite episode is when Sammy Davis Jr had a starting role.
this was one of my favorite shows as a kid. Mr. Ed, Burns and Allen, Bewitched and a couple of others...
I loved all the chapters on leave it to beaver
Johnny Crawford died two years ago. Let him rest!
COVID
Who's stopping him?
Paul Fix played Mica Torrance
Micah was played by Paul Fix
Sadly the whole original cast have passed away Johnny Crawford was the last one to die to the show
The sheriff was Paul Fix you gave the wrong name. Unless you're speaking of the very first sheriff on the show in the beginning. Micha Torrance was Paul Fix that's the picture you showed.
I was 8 years old when I fell madly in puppy love with Mark, my first…my dad said I was boy crazy…
Are you nuts?!? Micah Torrence was played by Paul Fix, and if 57 in the early '60s when the Rifleman series ran, he'd have been over 100 years old when he supposedly died in 2009. Sheesh.
So sad. He will have new legs n Heaven that will never go bad or wear out!!
I counted 13 rounds being fired at the beginning of the show. GODSPEED !!!!!!!
And the gun didn't exist until several years later.
Paul Fix played the Sheriff
Had the biggest crush on Johnny Crawford 😝
Everywere lucas mccain went trouble always found him.
😊!
Hello I watch your show I like it
this show is my favorite shop
4:55 We've got Nils here on "The Rifleman" and Nels on "Little House on the Prairie."
All great actors and missed. I would like to see the regular seen actors like John Anderson on the show and when they passed on.
I liked the show❤.
Micha was played by Paul Fix, not Dow Mickinnon
Yeah what was all that?
@@125saito do have a boyfriend if you don't ei
Also, anyone at age 57 in this series, having died in 2009, would have been well over 100 years old!! Talk about being lousy at math!!
You all rih 🙏💖🌹🙏💖🌹🙏💖🌹🙏💖🌹🙏💖🌹 I love you all😭😭😭
Something about the math in regards to age on the second character does not add up...
That whole show was great and I still watch the show on me-tv on the Eastcoast, may all the cast & crew R.I.P. GOD BLESS THERE SOULS AMEN.
that young guy as mark , he was really cute in this TV show back in day , i watching it off & on in PLUTO TV was before my time ...so sad all gone ...well was VERY old Tv show so i am not surprise & those old days up to 90s was alots older & middle aged cast was in movies & TV shows
The marshall, Micah Torrence was played by Paul Fix, not whoever this guy named I the video!
It says Paul Fix... but then it also says Dal McKennon (who played judges on two episodes.)
@@jkfan2005 do you want a boyfriend😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Chuck Connors, was a former member of, the olph, drum and bugle Corps, at the time they had a senior Drum Corps, I believe he played baritone bugle. I also was a former member of the olph, drum and bugle Corps, they went known as The Ridge men, I joined in , 1956, I played snare drum, and my brother played tenor drum instructor was Eddie Fitzgerald, may he rest in peace, and my twin brother may he rest in peace. Chuck Connors was a member there before I arrived on the scene, but members spoke about him numerous times, I even sort his old uniform
They don't make movies the same as it was. Not many young people interested in Western fashion. Although, still plenty of people watching the Rifleman today.
Paul Fix
Dal McKennan was the character " Cincinnatus " on Tvs Daniel Boone show
Video was made in China. Michael Torrance was played by Paul fix.
Hold it, Paul Fix played the sheriff.
Who in the hell is Dow McKinon? Michah was played by Paul Fix. Where was this made, in China.
Rotflmbo!
Most likely.
I said the same thing…
That's right Paul fix did play sheriff Micah Torrance
Paul Fix 1901-1983.
❤❤❤!
👍
Paul Fix died in 1983 ... not 2009.
Johnny Crawford had a brother who also starred in a western, I can't seem to remember which one....
I knew Johnny Crawford in his later years--a nice man. But, that photo of him that you post is misleading--he had both his legs and he was NOT in a wheel chair
I watch the reruns every day!
You are either misguided or a liar, Sir. Johnny Crawford did NOT have amputations. He died of Altimers! 😢
No,no..he had a thing for midgets, so he donated his feet to interspecies limb grafting.
I loved the show one of my favorites. Mcan was bad ass in his day. Today it's Marshall Givens from Justified played by Timothy Olphant. Also he was bad as s sheriff in Deadwood. Great stuff.
I don't believe that you would have a picture of Johnny Carford.
Wasn't Paul FIX the marshal?
Attention! This is clickbait! Johnny Crawford never lost his legs, as seen in the initial picture!
Marshall Micah Torrance was played by Paul Fix. I think you made a mistake there.
Why in the world did you say we would see what they look like today when all of them are dead?
some actors were left out
Always thought Chuck conners was playing around with the boy
Lucas played baseball in Mobile, Alabama.
omg Marky was my first love. Sad he died from COVID. :(. ❤❤❤💋my sweet boy
In the beginning of the show when Lucas is firing his rifle walking down the street how many shots does he take? I count 12.
15
13, one was added. close your eyes and you'll hear 13..that rifle only held 10, 11 if there was one in the chamber.
Get real..Jonny Crawford passed away from altzimers
Right? These people are often wrong.
More wrong than rite
@@williamwimer2074 Absolutely!
Well.I could've sworn Johnny Crawford suffered from cancer. That's what I had heard.Yeah.He did die two years ago.I heard about his death.
Well. This was great show to watch as a kid.Growing up in the 60's,70's and early 80's.Was always fun to watch
Micha Torrance was played by Paul fix not dale McKinnon. Paul died in 1983
Yes, this information got mixed up in the video here, began by stating Paul Fix portrayed the role of "North Fork" sheriff "Micah Torrence," but then switched to Dale McKinnon, also confusing the birth and death dates of Fix.
@@gymnastix he wasn't the sheriff he was the marshal and Paul Fix is the only person to ever play Micah Torrence. You should find something else to post on CZcams. Your not capable of getting anything correct
I all ways seen the Marshall's name was Paul Fix, was the real name.
That is right and he lived from 1901-83 and not until 2009!!!!!
" TIME & THE HOUR RUNS THROUGH THE ROUGHEST DAY " (shakespeare).
New sub here. This was enjoyable. My brothers & I always watched The Rifleman! It was a wonderful show that always had a valuable lesson to be learned in every episode.
The video would be enjoyable if it was correct and didn’t have Clickbait photo Johnny never lost his legs. The rifleman was a great TV series. I was going to subscribe then I realized not a chance. And the math doesn’t even add up. Video must be made in China.
Go back to Michael, Torrance it was played by Paul fix . They don’t even have the correct name. What a joke.
