    Nice design will be a good set when complete but sadly Royal mint prices have forced me out off this set

      They offered me a discount on this one as I kicked off, so got this for original £95, but agree tempted to cancel the continuation order because of the prices.

    I have been getting the 1oz Proof/Reverse Proof sets for each Tudor Beast. The Dragon looks like a great design, I actually ordered two sets, they should be here soon. Relax a bit on the tiny flaws, though, nothing in this world is perfect. But, it shouldn't be hard for them to put the coins in straight, it's almost disrespectful to customers.

      The amount of issues I had with the reverse proof sets put me off forever

      @@the_islandstacker I understand where you are coming from. Everything I've gotten has been nice, maybe not perfect, but nothing noticeable. I really do like the Reverse Proofs. So, we disagree, but no problems!

      @@fin59shaw glad you have got good versions, I had the panther and sent it back 5 or 6 times for poor quality so cancelled my order

    They raised the price for the umpteenth time, but the quality doesn't improve. Evidently there are no capable people in the Royal Mint, we are in 2024 and these things should no longer happen.

      Very much agree, considering they have been doing it over 1000 years think they would have got it by now.

      They’re competing with the US mint to see who’s more incompetent. Gold fiasco goin on

      No luck bro. And yeah, it's interesting and nicely minted, but the wings are weird.

      @@the_islandstacker Maybe it was a Monday morning and they were hungover, or a Friday Afternoon and they were thinking about Friday night. Either way, it's not complicated, you've just to look at both sides of the coin, the marks are easy to determine the existence of. So either they are driving the checkers too hard and they miss stuff due to quotas, or they need to check the eyes and motivation level, of the quality control people. Perhaps less DEI training and more basic, why we are here doing this training. Some people are just naturally careful and quick brained, they need to hire those people. Or like I said, stop expecting the people to check too many coins.

      @@the_islandstacker Maybe too, the machinery isn't scratching anything, it's the people that handle the coins. So they check the coin. there's no scratch, then in handling the coins, like to put it in the capsule, they're getting scratches on it.

      @the_islandstacker  Před 4 měsíci +2

      @@dleetr I'm not so sure as from previous conversations with the mint the checking of the coin is done by computer and only from a vertical birds eye view so that is never going to pick up some issues
