    I bought one from Banggood and I love it, superb value for money. It’s perfect for the hobbyist and occasional use. The speaker is more than adequate for a workshop. Mine is badged Aneng, but exactly the same. Only one moan, I would have liked the power switch on the front.

    • @vicm694
      @vicm694 Před 4 lety

      @@marvinmartian8746 well the meter still works great but to be honest I hardly use it. It basically became an 18650 charger. Still grab my fluke first as my most common need is to diagnose electrical issues with family cars and haven't really spent any time working on the bench(kitchen table) since purchase.
      Overall I do like the meter. Maybe will suit someone else better than it does myself.

The clock is really useful, especially as it jumps to the large screen after a few minutes. I have listened to a few podcasts and I’ve used it watching videos on my iPad. I don’t know if it’s force of habit or preference but I still use my ut139s more.

    Have been using this for two months. Accurate enough, nice big display. It's a bench meter, why does it need batteries? Leaving mine on the charger all the time. Power switch in the back is a pain on my crowded shelf. Wish the audio amp had a manual input jack... it would be a good test amp for the bench. Could never get the android app downloaded. used the speaking voltmeter occasionally... it's ok. Thermometer defaults to centigrade... again the button in the back is a pain to change. it's just... ok, no more, no less.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 7 měsíci +1

      Agreed its an "ok" meter. Nothing overly special but the BT speaker can come in handy. Power placement is ludicrous otherwise a decent budget benchmeter with a twist 😊

  • @yambo59
    @yambo59 Před 4 lety +1

    I wasnt sure what to expect, but what an interesting and nicely made little rig. Its seems to be better quality than I had first imagined, but I assume if you have no BT devices its just a multimeter with bluetooth speakers that must be paired with a device for any kind of function other than as a multimeter - I must be the only guy on the planet who doesnt have anything with bluetooth--lol I wonder why they had to use the 18650's, im guessing they offer longer life and more power than regular batteries-? So is there any kind of wall wart adapter that could be used to power the USB power-?? I could definitely see this being a cool thing to have for someones daily tech bench, if you have a phone you have a meter and a radio, nice to see something different like this.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 4 lety

      You can plug the multimeter directly into a powered USB jack.
      Those 18650s are optional and not required however if the power goes out they will obviously save the multimeter clock settings. On a side note, It's a surprisingly fast and accurate instrument and those speakers really sound great. Okay Mike, time to get a bluetooth device!😀👍

    • @yambo59
      @yambo59 Před 4 lety

      It was truly well made and much better than I expected and should sell really well. Does this need a computers usb jack or can it plug into say a usb charger? Not sure id want an audio amp even a small one plugged into my computer long term-?

    Great review, thanks! Does it charge the 18650's on board or do they have to be removed and charged separately? It's a shame that they added bluetooth but didn't give the meter a way to use it to output to a phone or a computer for recording and graphing. Had they done that, I'd be ordering one when I finished this comment. As it is, I still wouldn't mind having it. And nice that it takes 18650's instead of regular batteries, or even worse, a proprietary built in rechargeable phone type battery.

    • @KeepOnTesting
      @KeepOnTesting  Před 4 lety

      Yes it charges those 18650s on the fly! The battery indicator status flashes accordingly to let you know they are being charged and stops flashing when charging has completed.(My bad for leaving piece that on the cutting room floor!). 😀👍
      Btw, You can grab a cheap 18650 powered flashlight on Ebay/Amazon for 8-10$ and use the batteries in the multimeter.
      I agree, Data logging to an external source would have been the cats meow..! Thanks for watching!
