In Greece we call men like you "λεβέντες" (Levendes) As many Greek words have extensive meanings I am not sure there is an appropriate English word for it. You are a Λεβέντη. Your family must be so proud of you. God bless

its weird how most ppl think that the evzones raise the flag in acropoli. when in fact its the communications army school that raises the flag daily and the enzones have this service only in weekends. at least it was like that when i served

I was lucky enough to watch them marching down the Acropoli with the flag during my second visit. I was busy taking picture, suddenly they march down hill and I didn't know what happen back then. Is it ok to take selfie with them with permission? I dare not try :)
