I hate the movie, although I did like the wide angle shots (CGI) but apparently the old couple that they show laying in bed as the boat is sinking is supposed to be based off of a real couple, the heir and heiress of Maceys or founder or something. Supposedly there is a plaque on the Maceys in Manhattan dedicated to them as they were on the Titanic. It is a rumor I saw on a few places so I’m not 100% on it but I think there is some truth.
