@@Teacher-Val No doubts😊!
Yes, I like it, I' ll try it and maybe I' ll modify it a little. For example I can use some flashcards or written words and children should make sentences about the picture ( word), one sentence or more, it depends on their knowledge and what they need to practise. Your version is very usefull to practise questions and answers! Thank you for another great idea for our classes!!👏🍀
Superb sir.
Thank you so much
You're most welcome
It is cool idea for the lesson!👍👍👍
I'm glad you like it
Hi, Val! I saw this video a long time ago and used this game a few times. It's a great idea and works well in so many ways, I've used it as a non PPT game and also alongside a PPT throughout a lesson. Students have to answer questions or complete dialogue on the PPT and then they can roll a dice to move on the snakes and ladder board. As well as numbering the squares so students know which way to go I put + and - points in different squares so they win and lose points depending on which square they land and then they win more points if they make it to the final square. It's great because its simple and fun and you can make so many variations. Thanks a lot for this idea 👍
Hi Adam! Thank you very much for leaving a comment. Yes, I try my best to share simple games that require little or no preparation because I know that many people do not have access to technology in class.
Thnx sir your activities are amazing 👌👍
These are very useful and educational. Thank you

@@Teacher-Val I am on Penghu island, Taiwan, in the rural areas from Xiyu to Weian. I teach in 4 schools, G1 - G9. It's a great challenge. Loving it!
@@annabambus6572 Wow. Does it mean that you have no technology available in your classroom? Just a blackboard?
Where are you from, teacher? You still use chalk and blackboard! Thanks for showing we don't need computers all the time 😊

Glad it was helpful! Good luck with your new position in a primary school. What grades are you teaching?
@@Teacher-Val I’ll teach grades 1,2 and 3. I feel a little nervous! I bought a few books and I’m watching your videos in preparation. You are a big help.
@@brianmcdowell6066 I am sure you are going to do great! When do you start?
Thank you very much for your lessons and advices. Could you tell if your students get marks at the lessons.
No, they don't. They get a mark at the final exam.

Will do. :)
Thank you for the answer. Looking forward for it,))
We use for maths and evs like food habit
Hi mister Val. I was watching your video "how to make a pizza". I don't know how I got this in my recommendations. This is your second video to watch. Please, don't be angry, but you need to change the title of this video. It is not "from nothing". 🙂 You have your key words and key sentences for this day, and you planned this lesson on that way. If you spend time to prepare flashcards and game, you can not say "from nothing". 🙂 So, you will teach (or repeat) words and sentences, your students will practice dialogue and they can play this game for all day. 🙂 If your students like this game you can use this game so often. You said one more example, but the die is useful for every content (one question and six answers) and we can use many games like as template. Of course, we can make and define the rules according us. For example, you were thinking how to finish the game.
I said I was watching your video about pizza. I am working in the kindergarten in this moment, my the youngest group is terrible if we speak about discipline and I don't have any help from native teachers. Someone will say "they are the youngest", but we can not say this after 3 months. When I watched this video, I will decide to try "the point competition". I already worked in "this system" in my previous school - one star if you are good and no star (or even bye, bye star) if you are not good, but we used it for every kid personally. Now, I will try to do it between boys and girls. I will say some good and bad things about classroom rules, I will ask the techers to help about translation and explanation and I will try the daily and weekly competions. One point for winning team for each day and more points for winning team on the end of the week. This your lesson was excellent, especially your PP (I like it very much and I think if we have computers we need to use it🙂; if we don't have we can play Snakes and ladders 😀😀😀), but I noticed that small thing what I will try.
Thanks for sharing your videos.
Hello Zlatko! I LOVE your comment! Thank you for taking the time to share your thoughts. "Lessons from nothing" simply means the games or activities that require little or no preparation. No every teacher has access to a smartboard or computer in their classrooms, so I thought I would share a few "blackboard and chalk" activities.
Спасибо!thank you for the idea. We had some board games in CUPress books, but didn’t have a 🎲 so I spin one person in front of the board. There numbers on it, he/she blindly point to one of them. And it goes for about 15 min like that. All the other ideas I will try
Thank you for watching, Lilia! :)
Games!
I love the subject. What about more games? Thanks, Val. You are a great teacher.
Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you! Greetings from China! More games are coming!
Hi, Val. I'm a new teacher from China. I want to ask your opinion in using mother tongue in L2 teaching. For years teachers only speaking English in class has been politically right here. However, the majority of my students(Grade 3 and 4) just started learning English in Grade 3. My idea is that all-English teaching is beneficial when students have plenty of L2 access after class. If they don't, they will be under anxiety in class or won't learn much. What do you think?
It has nothing to do with politics. Please don't bring it here. Haha.
It is okay to use some Chinese in class because studies have shown that L1 use during English instruction is beneficial to both young and older learners for vocabulary acquisition, English test performance, and student behavior.
Here is the link to one of the researches: eric.ed.gov/?id=EJ1062663
The "No-Chinese-in-the-classroom" viewpoint comes from the training school mentality and lack of knowledge.
However, if you speak Chinese more than English, it is not okay either. :)
Thank you very much,as an English teacher would like to have you in my friends list and collaborate if possible
I'm open to discussion. Collaborate how?
I want ideas for teaching english to kids of 3 to 4 years old. What the first things we start with.
I what we say to someone when finished eating if dreanking and what he respond
And other expressions similar for daily conversation plz
3-4-year-old children should focus on vocabulary, phrases, and very simple sentences. The dialogue you are trying to teach is too difficult for them.
To answer your question, you can teach them to say "Finished!" or "Done!" when they finish their meal. 😉
@@Teacher-Val I've passed this level of words I want the daily expression used there. Because I want to give high level now. In our culture we say long sentences and they're good with it so I want to go further I don't think those in English aren't long as ours .
Please if you want to write it I need them really I don't care about if it is high level.
In our culture when they're finished we don't say finished or done (I'll traslated as it's but in our language is logic I don't know how to tell you the exact expression): A: in your health "means what you eat will be good for your body and your pleasure of enjoying the food"
B(the person who is done): Allah protect you.
This is the shortest.
great adaptation!!!! love the idea - I actually have mini version of the classical game but never thought about putting it on the whiteboard! Thanks!!!
Glad you like it. :)
Thank u so much !! .. I have question how can I learning English Especially speaking and reading ... I used many ways but doesn't work !
Read more books! :)

Can u tell me how are u dealing with noisy class? i have problems with classroom management..maybe i shouldn't be a teacher:(
Classroom management is something all teachers struggle with. Maybe, I should make a video on classroom management strategies and techniques. Would you like that?
Don't be discouraged by a few attention seekers in your class. Have faith in yourself. You are great in so many ways because it is you. You are unique.
@@Teacher-Val yup please make a video. Thank u sm!
