Thanks for watching.
Kirk you make me nervous standing on the edge of that deck lol
Hello FG, man, I can walk a plank high in the air and feel comfortable about my balance. It's stuff one gets used to.
Besides, If I did fall, that would sharpen my balance even further. 😉
@@StuccoPlastering and make for a great youtube video lol! But I am afraid of heights and you had my toes tingling ready to catch myself from that fall lol
@@fg146 @F G Howdy FG dude, I guess it all depends on one's outlook of life. For me falling would have brought some real excitement in my life.
Reminds me of my daughter Madeleine asking me some years ago while working on some really high scaffold. Madeleine said, "dad, aren't you afraid of working with one hand and holding the scaffold with the other one so high up?"
I said try this, inside the scaffold, grab a bar with one hand, raise your legs to see how long one arm can hold you up. She did and was amazed that either hand-lasted at least 30 seconds, longer than necessary, to grab hold of the scaffold and get a firm grip to safety. czcams.com/video/wDb-Da6AlFo/video.html/.
You get use to heights when you’ve spent years walking on scaffold. The views are breathtaking along with the fresh air
Your a PILLAR Of Inspiration , Kirk.

Good morning Ernesto, thank you, brother. back at you.😏
This sure doesnt look like a mid December job. Happy New Year Kirk, Jay, and the Giordano family.
Evening Travis, sho-nuff was far from December, perhaps 6 months ago as the temperature was about 100 degrees, my kind of weather.
It has been coming down for the last few weeks. happy New Year.👍
I use to think it was cheesy when my father, a master plaster himself, would say, one of the best aspects of my job is the scenery. Honestly, it’s the absolute best. Thank your Kirk for the content and wisdom. Great view sir. Great job explaining us the fundamentals of plastering.
Howdy, my friend, your dad was correctomundo, often I'll accept jobs I don't care to do for the exact same reason.
Now at a nudist camp of women, with that philosophy, I'd probably be working for free.💃
@@StuccoPlastering hahaha likewise. I’ll probably take twice as long to complete the project!
Lovely ♥️
It's all better when you make more 💸 while you sit home and enjoy watching a video like this..
God evening Leynah Brooke, that comment is working especially from a beautiful woman.🍾

С Новым годом!
Спасибо, мой русский друг, пусть мир и процветание придут и останутся с тобой и твоими в 2022 году.
It took you a while to get to this video Thanks for the tutorial
Hello, my friend, indeed it did. Someone asked me if I had a video on lathing deck pillers? We did, but that reminded me of this one.
So I called my son Jay and asked, didn't we do a video about those pillars on a hill. He checked through all his videos and found it. He uploaded it.
Jason's up with the sun and works full time, and has a family, so he can't always find time to post the stuff we do.
Cheers and happy New year.😉
Happy new years Kirk & Jay keep up the good work 👏 & excellent job on that Camera Jay. keep them Videos Rolling 👍👌

Great to be subbed again ..... Happy New Year Kirk to you and the whole fam
Same to you!
Nice good
Thanks
Great job Kirk, weather looks good as well. Happy New Year to you and your family!
Howdy Paintbrush, Dude, the weather was hot in this video as it was done a couple of months ago. Unfortunately, it was in limbo gathering cobwebs when I asked Jason about it.
The last couple of weeks was nothing but rain, needed in dry arse California.🍻
👍
Hello Adam, thank you.😉
Really love your videos. I'm learning to stucco for a big project coming up this summer and your channel is the best. I love YT channels that teach from true experts in their field. I hope your channel continues to grow and you make more videos.
Awesome! Thank you!
Well done as always, Kirk, Jay, and family. I gotta be honest.. I was so concerned you would slip and hurt yourself during the video, I was relieved when it was over. Happy New Year.
Howdy Robert LOL, man, I have the reflexes of a bat with advanced sonar, however, and coincidentally I did get stuck in the toilet today, but that's another story. Happy new year.🍻
The year 2122 :
“Hey these columns are 100 years old who built this.?
The famous Kirk Giordano and family.
Evening Photo Doc, LOL, old kirk will be worm food by then. Happy New Year.😉
That looked a bit HOT! there Kirk 🥵🥵If we hit 80% in the UK we're dying on the spot 🥴😵💫 ..... Good luck with the Render 😎
Morning Peter, my fellow spread from the UK.
Me, I'd prefer 95 degrees every day. That's my favorite weather. If I could afford it, I'd move closer to the Equator.🍻
@@StuccoPlastering Your Bonkers Kirk 👍😎
@@CheckFred There's little doubt about that.🤷♂
Kirk thank you for your videos. I am looking to plaster a few halfwalls in my restaurant (mediterranean/greek) to give that classic textured look. I need it to be able to stand up to high traffic and chairs getting banged into it. I would also like to make it wipeable.... what do you recommend? I am thinking lime plaster or a smooth stucco but would like to get your opinion!
Howdy Zenab, without a doubt. czcams.com/video/KldxODNprP0/video.html/ lime plastering kitchens.
Hi Kirk
Im about to buy a lath stapler and i see u use senco brand. I saw a vidio of stapler comparision on a wildlife refuge attaching fence to post and a everwin/ bostich stole the show. Why do you prefer the senco and will it use other brand staples, also this will be used for other projects as well
Thanks
M L Rogers Pasadena, TX
I'm a stucco contractor myself and I recommend Senco, Hitachi, or a Makita stapler. Those brands last forever and staples and easy to find. I own a bostich and a dewalt stapler but staples for those brands are harder to find.
What grit did you use? Looking to do my pillars as well.
Do I do a base coat first then a finishing coat?
Hi Robert, in the description we also showed how we plastered these pillars and the material we used.🕵🏼
do you think this would hold up at the new Jersey Shore.....salt in the air and freeze cycles
Of course it would.
Hey Kirk gotta question for ya, ever miss with that slam hammer? Hopefully not.
Howdy Gaurd Duck Dude, I missed a few times and bloodied and blistered a few fingers in the learning process.
That's the nature of the trade, sometimes when in a hurry and holding the paper and tired as hell, shit happens.
When that happens, I tell you, brother, you experience a bit of pain. But, that pain is absolutely necessary to sharpen one's hand-eye coordination.
As a rule, if you feel your heartbeat in the hit finger, it's kind of funny.😉
@@StuccoPlastering is it anything like hitting your finger with a freaking hammer when doing laminate flooring or pinching your knee between the planks and hanging thi yank it out? My friend did that with my freaking framing hammer slammed his finger instead of the block he meant to hit and all we could do is cringe when he did it . Kind of figured you had missed a few times we all do, if you had said no i would have said no way. Lol thanks for the vids love em. Hoppe the little ones doing good.
aren't the taks weak points for water entry?
No, the paper is self healing.
happy new year to you and your family, from k. kench plastering, birmingham England. i really enjoy watching your channel.
Good morning Keith Kench, my fellow plasterer from England. Thank you.
I have been to Manchester a few times and thought, wow, there's a lot of sheep and brick walls, plus many pubs, which made the cold bearable.🍻
I don't understand if he is tired of painting. Why not just go with the maintenance fee product?
Howdy Darin, that process is in the description. Cheers.🍾
