Yeh mate I definitely found out they're not the easiest fish to catch but I noticed a couple of things that helped me get a few 👌 Pretty sure it was a small rapala of some sort.
Red, I am sure I have told you before, if you want to catch the older, bigger and wiser JP, you have to sneek up on them, walk upstream, only stick half of your head up to have a look, then have a cast. If yu arrive in full view, talking and making a noise, all you will catch are the little ones, you have to be steathy to trick the big mothers, believe me they are out there. and if you catch one big one or indeed a little one, you will not get a big one out of the same hole, prob the shyest freshwater fish out there. Try some stealth next time you go, it works. Cheers mate, enjoy
Nice, catch they can be a hard fish to catch such great fun what lure of choice were you using if you’re willing to share thanks
