  • Most of the problems from part 1 should be fixed here since this time I used my other video editing software, which makes the video appear more "stable".
    Anyway, we go onward to game 2, where Shirley has yet to win her $20,000. Can she do it here? Oh, and a certain blooper happens in the Winner's Circle.

    I was fortunate to be in the studio audience when this was taped at the ABC studio on West 58th St, so I saw the chair tossing and what followed off air.

      Do tell, Brickyard Hill Studios! What happened off air and such?

    • @brickyardhillstudios

      The audience and production staff were stunned. Shatner apologized to
      the contestant ("I'm sooo sorry"). During the break between episodes, an
      audience member asked announcer Bob Clayton if the incident would be
      edited out, and he said no, it would air as it happened. And I think
      Shatner may have have addressed it in the next episode. It was a great
      memory.

      @wschmrdr Před 4 lety +1

      Dick did bring it up on the next show. Sometimes I wonder if Shatner ever actually won in the Winner's Circle... but one thing's for sure, they really wanted their contestant partner to win, and hated when they were the cause for messing it up.

    • @wschmrdr
      @wschmrdr Před 4 lety

      Probably would have been just another win, and we wouldn't be having these sorts of discussions.

    @millenniumman75 His name is Bob Clayton. He was best known for replacing Hugh Downs as the host of Concentration from 1969 until the end of its run in 1973. Since Concentration ended and Pyramid began the following Monday, he was the announcer of almost all Bob Stewart game shows in New York unti his death in 1979. The only two he didn't announce were Jackpot and Winning Streak which were both announced by Don Pardo.
