Also possibly a useful reminder of his mortality which helped him keep it together for the rest of the run and not push it over the limit.
My generation admired Sam Hill’s cornering skills…. But I think Jackson Goldstone takes cornering to a new level. Congratulations Jackson!!!
jackson is riding a groomed bermy track compared to sam hills insane run here in 2008. back then the track was waay more technical, slower but trickier by a longshot.

@@PsyCr0riginal'm pretty sure that last turn was a flat turn and he had pedal strokes while riding it. That's the first time I saw tackling a loose flat turn that way without losing the back or front end 😆
It’s incredible to see the light years difference in what elite level riders can make a bike do versus the rest of the 99.99% crazy!

The racing is so good this year! 3 different winners, and 2 of them just came up from juniors! These kids are unreal!
you can see him waiting for the perfect moment to snap the bike sideways in those corners, so much precision.
I’m an amateur mountain biker but this descent brew my mind! 😱 We’re not living in the same planet!
This descent must be the result of talent combined with years of practice and excellent equipment!

Similarly, a whistle further up notifies the next marshal in line and the crowd next to them of oncoming riders. With the speed, these racers are going, added to the vegetation and terrain it can be hard to spot riders coming down and to get out of the way in time.
Even though race tracks are taped off to create a barrier between competitors and other people like team personnel, course workers, and the crowd. However, it’s common that roads and walking paths do cross the course on the way down the mountain.
This course is so difficult it makes even the best riders have difficulty maintaining speed. Unbelievable skill.
Man how do you even focus with all that crowd and cheering. And what's up with the chain saws??? Lol

@@felixmcbride5448 and if that doesn’t work the chainsaws will scare the Apocalyptic Texting Zombies out of the way. There’s at least one on every track night or day. Chainsaw sound! Great idea for a bike horn sound for the tracks around here.
Now. Can we see a version WITHOUT stability control so we can see just how jarring those roots and rocks are?
