I live in Saigon, a city I've come to love in a short time. If you stick to the main tourist areas or main streets, you might be disappointed by the city. My best advice is to get lost in the alleyways. There's always something new to see.

I'm a huge fan of trying different, interesting and strange foods in each country. My show is from a Western point of view, but more importantly MY point of view, but is not meant to offend any person or culture.
This week's video is a little different from the usual fair.
I've been living here in Ho Chi Minh City (Saigon) for about three months now. I love the city, the crazy energy and its people, but my best discoveries, whether it be food, meeting locals or finding something unexpected, have all occurred while getting lost in the alleyways. This is my tribute to the amazing culture and people of this city.
We'll be back to food vids next week. :)

I totally felt the same way, in some small way Sonny has picked up Anthony Bourdain's torch and is celebrating all the things about food and culture that American tourists usually either ignore or find repellant and he's doing it with humor and respect.
