tent would be great on the bay of quinte , seen lots of people camp out on the ice and fail .
I really miss the bushcraft. Anymore its snowdogs, bells, traps, solar, batteries, fish finders... etc. Completely different from the channel i fell in love with. Im glad your doing well Fowler, I really am, Just miss your roots man.

That was an absolute behemoth of a Perch!! Would love to catch one that size. But here where I'm from they are typically the size of your hand and that's legit the biggest that they seem to get. But we do have some absolutely GIANT Black Crappies. If you ever have the chance to come to Fl, The fishing on lake Okeechobee is some of the best lake fishing, It will go toe to toe in a competition with any lake of your choosing and definitely DESTROY THE COMPETITION!! 😂😂

Great for winter lake trout and like u said fish the pushup areas for pike when the crappie and perch disappear the pike are around

Loard) carried all the groceries and wood across the river up to the cabin in pitch black...crazy fun!

Make a gyroscopic base for the heater. That would be a cool build
Zach, next time you take eggs with you in the winter, get some hand warmer packs and a towel... put the towel out flat and put the eggs in the center at the end of the towel fold the edges over the eggs like you are rolling a burrito and then roll once and put activated hand wamrer then roll once more and put another hand warmer, repeat the process a couple more rolls then put them in the center of your basket off the bottom. A hand towel is large enough for a couple eggs to keep from freezing. The eggs can stay unfrozen for a couple days doing this.
Not gonna lie Zach I'm super happy to be watching an old school style video self filmed camping adventure I really have been missing this man I know you have a life outside of CZcams to take care of and that is most important but man you are one of my most favorite CZcamsrs and it hasn't been the same lately but this is very enjoyable

Nice post guys, I can completely agree with zack about wind , 5 yrs work as groundskeeper on a park that was exposed to both northern hot wind in summer ( greetings from the other side of this gem) and winter south coming up from southern pole, it was like someone pushing you in the back all day , I get very Grrrrr when wind is blowing an that’s after moving to windless town 😂
over time the wax in the soot from the burnt candles can turn the whole top part in to a candle. be careful tent fires are nasty

As a proud Southerner i give you props for submitting yourself to freezing cold temperatures. However,.... That's why humans developed the concept of being indoors. Just looking at the thumbnail pic is making my arthritis flare up.

I love your videos, but i miss your older style videos were you did not have soo many expensive gadgets. Dont get me wrong they are cooler then cool, but your avaerage veiwer could not afford such yhings to save his soul. We just watch and dream away. On a brighter, that you add the love you have for the Lord every episode is what keeps me coming back. Though i wish you geo back to the basics, you know adventures we all could try and afford. Get you the bubbler that runs off of 2-D batteries it will last you more than three days. They also sell ones that take 2-D batteries and a USB plug

Need to add a hanging loop for the heater and then make a floor stand for if you want to not hang it but make the stand out of a metal pan with tall sides and a weighed base incase the unit gets knocked over.
