Update: I DO have 5 garden buddies. So i thought I'd give it a try to help you out. I slowly harvested 300+ pumpkins one at a time. I didn't get the actual percentage, but I can tell you with certainty that it is NOT 100%. 5 buddies does NOT give you 100%... at least for me. I hope that helps.

Same. I have 5 garden buddies and do not receive a 100% drop rate. Mine was an 89.4% bonus drop rate.
One reason I have found that one advantage of having other farmers is that you can max out their levels much more quickly than you can in any other professions...
Apart from being an awesome and useful video the fact that you spent 14 hours for this test is CRAZY in it's own. Respect to you StarInSky, 🌠 like really that's crazy

Wow, this was truly appreciated. I kinda love videos that people spend insane amounts of time on 😆 Currently have four farmer buddies as I've tried to have roles equally spread among all the villagers, and I am now thinking that maybe was a good idea. Curious to see if I perhaps only need 5

I currently have 6 maxed gardeners and I noticed I usually get around double the amount (I didn't do the math, I was just happy with all the extra pumpkin money!), but I only have 3 maxed fishers. I noticed most of the time I got an extra fish, then every now and then no extra. So if any it is any help, it seems 4-6 maxed professions would give us that 100%. Again thank you so much for your work!
6 is not the limit, I just tested it with 8 lvl 10 farmers. I did the slow harvesting thing on a 200 pumpkin field. First finding: they do on occasion pull out 2 extra pumpkins instead of 1. on this field it happened 40 times
from my understanding it's 5 because I noticed I started getting 1 bonus every drop when I reached about 5 though I could be wrong and it was 6. But that dedication ! I'm here for it! thank you for going through all that work for us :D

so 6 villagers as minign will give 100% drop rate same thing goes for digging clay faster hm neat thanks for this tip, also they should add in a stall that sells you basil garlic etc. reason is if you plan to decorate the village none of these items will ever spawn in

I have three max level gardeners (Mickey, WALL-E, and Gothel) and just now harvested 100 Lettuce and got 79 extra. I ignored the golden multi-harvests and the single instance of a harvest-splosion (where you have a few seconds to run around and pick up the 10 or so that spray out). A much smaller sample size to be sure, but I'd say that three max level gardeners seems to give a 70-80% chance for a bonus harvest.
(Edit) And just now I harvested my field of 400 Pumpkins, picking up the multi-harvests and storing the self-harvested crops in one chest and the bonus crops in another (kept separate by locking Mickey in a fenced-off area while I harvested then letting him out to drop all his bonus Pumpkins at once). I picked 474 Pumpkins and Mickey gave me another 326, which is 68.78%. That's probably closer the actual bonus chance the game uses.
I have 5 farmers and a pumpkin plot of 99 pumpkins for ease of planting. Harvesting two rows slowly one at a time I could see I wasn't getting a bonus one every time, but then I switched to fast harvesting. I did get two shiny ones, each of which accounting for the usual lag, I harvested five not counting the original pumpkin, so an extra 10. So 109 harvested in all, but I had 217 in the final harvest. Mmm! I will try this again with the slow harvesting of the whole plot and see what happens.

I have at least 10 farmers level 10
Some pumpkins when you pick up show 3x and Some 2x
But i never had more then 100 percent pumpkins extra.
So it Means they drop less pumpkins but Some count for 2 of 3, so you have to picknick up less pumpkins.
I tested It with a field of 1050 pumpkins.
It gave me 1050 extra pumpkins.

I have a request, would you mind explaining/making a video to show how you make a totally separate game? I thought I researched this and when I paid for and tried to start 2nd account, it still opened my original. (I went to a different PC). I was trying to do on an Xbox account. I was so afraid of deleting my original, I just paid for and started a 2nd under a different platform. I'm sure this is a no brainer for most, but in case you get other requests for it....I'd love to see for sure. 😊

How do you get another character? When I have tried the cloud says I'll lose my current account.
You just log out of your cloud account and log into new one or just make one. At least on steam version I didn't lose my account

@@glitteringashes oh no! 😓 I play on switch and pc (steam) and I have been able to switch back and forth to different cloud saves using 2 different emails (on both platforms). But I am not an expert by any means so idk how to troubleshoot.
i have like 7 gardening buddies probably more i was using gardening because it was the easiest for me to level them up and i recently decided to harvest my pumpkins 1 at a time and i would get 2 every so often so it does give you extra and when i first watched your video i was using the fence method so i had figured that they stacked somehow but they don't so you do get extras i assume if you have more then 6 or 7 buddies i don't know how often it is i don't know how much you can make it triple technically maybe if you have 12 to 15 its technically tripled but i figured id comment to tell you that you do get extras though unless its just a weird thing with pumpkins

I’m confused because I have a garden bed of 300 pumpkins and I end up with around 800 after harvesting?
I get over 100% because every 6th or 7th is actually 2 not 1
I have 14 gardening vilagers level 10 and they give me way more than 100 %
Just try it and you will find out.

I have changed two extra characters into gardeners.
So now I have 16 of them.
Saved my game, closed my game, and start up again.
Chosen 1 gardening buddy and harvest 100 pumpkins.
I did not pick up the pumpkins from the fountain and not the ones who disappear when you don,t pick them up.
I saw when I collected the pumpkins which my buddy gave me not 1 single pumpkin with the 1 but all were 2.
Did not see with 3 when I picked them up.
Maybe there were 3 of them, because I have harvest 100 and in my inventory are now 303
I guess all the pumpkins which were before 1 are now 2 and some 3 but not a lot are 3.
Maybe you can check that with your field surrounded by bushes , it is possible they changed the drop rate at the last update.
I wil harvest more pumpkin fields to check again to see if there are pumpkins which give me 3.
