    In Australia right now, you couldn't buy the unclean version for less than $3000US. For 150 pounds, you'd be lucky to get the 4 wheels. I can't believe how cheap that car was. Toyotas sell for a fortune here

    Wow even the sell price on this is cheap compared to what these cars go for in South Africa. Right now the cheapest one like this is 3 x what you got for yours. Nearly worth while importing.

      I also felt that this was a little cheap, but it went to a local guy who needed wheels quickly so i didn't mind! I love Toyotas so just turning this one around was a pleasure!

    Johnny how did you buy this so cheap to begin with?

    • @JohnnyGetsCash
      @JohnnyGetsCash  Před 4 lety +4

      This one came in via one of my cars wanted ads. The car had a recurring EML fault and was a high mileage, unloved example. These issues made it a difficult prospect for the owner to sell privately (it'd take a lot of effort for them to sort out, followed by the rigorous task of advertising it / selling, that's why selling to a trader such as me is an attractive option for many people) All of these factors limited the value of it, but most of all the seller wanted rid of it... A motivated seller and the ability for me to move (and pay) quickly when purchasing cars such as this allows me to often buy cars at keen prices! Thanks for your comment, I hope you're enjoying the series so far!

      Loving the series, were in the same boat, keep keep moving forward don’t listen to most of these traders who cry about not making much they don’t do none of the repairs,bodywork or prep however we are different, now try doing the mechanical repairs yourself 👍

      @@umarmahmood4511 I do tackle some mechanical stuff but often times it's more time efficient for me to drop a car to the local mechanic! Glad you're enjoying it!
