- Thank you all so much for joining this new channel! I want to thank @prettyingreen for handholding me through this process as he gave me the confidenece to get back on the YT horse along with all of your endearing emails and messages. THANK YOU! I am so happy to be back and to be able to try and make some cool things along with you! This video is an introduction to the types of projects that will appear on this channel. There will be other projects like design, gardening, indoor plants and life projects and I am thrilled to have you come along and see whats in store while I try to figure out my life. So so glad you are back! My Dad a WWll Veteran would watch you w/ me. We lost him this past Sept @ 100 yrs of age. He loved seeing you! ❤ I have a request: you showed us the mirror you made into a mosaic wall piece. Maybe perhaps on a smaller scale so we have an understanding of the process. I can see your dad with you and it warms my heart to think of the relationship you had with him. (sorry if that sounds strange). I can show you the process for sure! It's been like 30 years since I made those😳. Damn I have some milage on me! Happy to break out the tile cutter and shred some mirrors!!!!

Hi Amanda, it's so lovely to see you again. Me and my mom, Shirley, found you two years ago, just a few months after my Dad suddenly passed away. Our lives where turned upside down as we are a very close small family and share everything together.
Besides our faith and beliefs, there where a few things that gave us strength and kept us going, and your videos where one of them. They gave us tremendous inspiration into loving and appreciating plants like never before (I wasn't even a 'plant person' myself) styling them and caring for them, finding and collecting new and exciting varieties and learning about them, mostly through your fun and informative presentations. Loving plants helped to make a big whole in our hearts less empty.
It also inspired my mom to start her own channel. This motivated me to be the one man editor, camera, lighting and sound crew of the channel and help my mom think of ideas.
In short, your videos helped to heal and bring us back and we will be forever grateful.
To us your like a good friend we haven't met. We're very sorry about your own family loss and what you've been through. All your hard work and time on planterina should be yours to keep and benefit from even with a rebrand and regardless of what happened with the videos, which, again is thoroughly unfair on you.
Both my mom's channel and my own have been frozen since early last August when our neighbour's lawnmower backfired while we where out and caused a fire which blackened half the house, destroying huge amounts of belongings and our power supply, boiler and gas. We where hauled up in accommodation for months before we personally cleaned the safe part of the house of grey ash and bought generators and caravan batteries and used them for power and our stove for heating and manged to move back in in November (with great struggling.)
A month ago we finally had our power restored and will have our boiler back in a fortnight.
So we are hoping to get ourselves up and running again sometime soon and start recording again.
Amazingly, your new video popped up tonight for us. We'd looked for you before, but couldn't find any way of sending you a message.
We just wanted to let you know all this and send you some love, support and thanks.
We look forward to your new videos, whatever you decide to make them about and hope you see this and know you've got some friends across the pond ( in England! ) we've missed you too!

I have always used humour to make my way through the tough times, hidden it mostly. I’m not able to do that at the moment. We are doing less complex projects than anything you are creating-high school general curriculum 3D. I emphasize recycled & nature items. I have a sailor’s mouth and favor invisibility but video together sounds intriguing.

Honestly, I love my houseplants, but will admit, like many others (plant influencers included), we are starting to purge many plants from our collections; I have only kept the ones that thrive in MY environment and don't require 'special care' or manufactured conditions. Looking forward to learning something new. Although the occasional 'styling with plants' video would be fun. 😊
Thank you Betsy! I agree with you, and might I add that I think the plants purge themselves! Some of them were not thrilled about being in less-then-ideal environments. They never stood a chance while the survivors take hold! I am sure I will have plant subjects because they inspire me in many ways!
