I personally loved Ghosts’ customization. The gear had to be earned through challenges, and the color scheme changed accordingly to the map which I liked
Cod Ghosts customization is on another level.

I really liked the COD Ghosts customization, hope they bring it back
2007-2012 cod games really had the best and the most recognizable and immersive factions. This is what newer cod games is missing nowadays are the factions which got replaced with worthless operators skins.
While preset skins worked fine, I do prefer character costumization. It adds some extra spice to the game beyond your gun. Ghosts and Advanced Warfare took my favourite, but later games were still solid character customization.

Technically the original system did return for MW19 in the form of the Mil-Sim operators when left on their default. Changing your primary weapon made minor adjustments to things like headgear and magazine pouches. If you're trying to LARP with your cosmetics and you want to use a SCAR, this is one of the only ways to get .308 mags to appear on your character
I kinda like how Vanguard did the operator customization as far as leveling them up which gave you even more skins and specific weapon exp tied to them and voice lines, not to mention the "mastery" skins for getting all operators to level 20

Factions could make the game more iconic and imerssive instead of dumb looking operators.
When the games are full of skins from every possible subject the game isn't unique anymore.
People like to say that dumb skins should be in the game because cod is not realistic but I disagree with that. Cod is not realistic but the serious military vibe paired with the over the top action is what made cod unique. Without that the game losses it's identity.
yeah, the factions work so well to give personality to each side with the announcers and skins. I thought the factions in cold war and mw2019 were cool but they were ultimately overshadowed by the terrible operator design to character customization. and the so-called mil-sim skins in cold war are terrible they could have just reused the black ops and perseus npcs found in the campaign but they didn't
There are factions in cod mobile Like the UAC and five knights all that lore stuff are in comics while the factions in regular multiplayer is like Special forces and Guerilla
It also makes it kind of annoying in multiplayer because instead of “oh im task force 141 and they’re Russians cool” everyone looks different and you cant tell friendly from enemies. Really sucks in hardcore you end up team killing more than usual

Vanguard just took it out of context by not only allowing the same operators on both teams, but also the same announcer for both teams. I got sick of that QUICK!
MW22 allows you to unlock a wide array of Operators, of course some need to be bought, but others can also be grinded via challenges, so MW22 has progression along with having to wave your wallet around to get some Operators. Reminds me of COD: Mobile, you get a choice between grinding and buying.
Nice that you didn’t forget cod mobile. It’s expensive but definitely has a wide range of operators and outfits backpacks etc
Man imo bro cod ghosts had the best character customization and some of the gear they had real life operators used during combat and having to play as iconic mw characters was so cool man plus having to play as the ghost characters Merrick, Elias, Hesh and especially Keegan that was so dope bro and getting to use Simon “Ghost” Riley’s mask ooouuuffff phenomenal bro also having a wolf as a K9 that’s another level bro also the extinction character pack that was badass so I give it to cod ghosts man imo best character customization
I love having customization options!!
Rainbow 6 is cool with the mixed factions but I’ll always prefer the two army head to head -actual war battles.

@@CoDGhosts619 mwr bered mk8, waw dp-28, mw2 aug hbar, bo1 stoner 63, mw3 l86 lsw, bo2 hamr, ghosts m27 iar, bo3 rpk, mw 2019 holger, etc. (I said 1 lmg of each cod I played, with the exception of mwr, because I only played cod4, but as in the videos you replace cod4 with mwr I ended up putting the mwr option)

At 14:25 you can see a character from cod4 remastered called kelvin and i realised that it is an operator from mw2019.
Hey ghost I got a video idea using every 1 bullet weapon in cod history example mors from advanced warfare and bo1 crossbow
Out of all the cod customisation I prefer the cod Ghosts customisation was more free range then the operator system in the last 3 cods
Day 140 of asking to do every Russian gun in every COD
So the 2009 thumbnail is a picture from 2023 and the 2023 thumbnail is one from 2014. Makes sense

If there is ever a COD Sandox Style Game after MW2 (2022), we should have the opportunity to customize our Character as the Mantle of Protagonist instead of an actual Character/Operator,
They did with BO3 in its Single Player Campaign so why not.
Cod mobile gives a lot of free cool skins and battle pass have a lot of oder cods characters.

I like the Ghosts' customization just because of the dope uniforms and the lack of a way to look like a clown like some newer CoDs. (Don't take my opinion personally.)
In cod4 u are saying sas and it isnt its the task force 141
the best customizaton system is cod aw then everthing else was basicly the same head (or some time hats and helmints) with different body or it changed the character complety (think cold war)
Vanguard has the best character customization, gun customization and everything, vanguard is the best call of duty ever “your team” vs “enemy team” is such a deep improvement on factions and having the same operators on both sides with the only way to differentiate your teammates from enemies is the red or blue name on top really shows how we are our one enemy and the fine line between friend and feo, a true masterpiece of a game
