I've been running different variations of this build for a while with some great success. Lately, I've swapped out the grace set for gloomguide and added a concentrated will. The 2 additional slots def changed the build in a way because I can use the black hole essence, but before that, I used the black hole as an area for me to just walk through before the teleport. I use the black hole more of a way to push people off the idol since the change. I don't recommend a f2p/low reso player to use this build unless they are fighting people with similar stats as they need to be able to survive a few hits if they are diving in. Happy to discuss if you want to see a slightly different playstyle of this build.
I also love using the Black Hole as a zoning skill as well. Always free to leave some other uses and ideas for me or anyone to read thru! Also, if you could share your reso that helps people decide if it might be good for them as well.
Another fun build! I got all sader essences and had a ton of fun with the ranged attacks. I never felt like a melee class while being a sader. But the dmg reduction on top of being able to cast ranged skills as a melee class was icing on the cake! Now back to wiz in a bit 😂 thanks Lida for showing interesting builds for all classes! Cheers!
to be fair i haven't farmed much in, but im going on 3 weeks now and still don't have crustclaw. this is probably my favorite build for pvp ever running every class but necro
What do you think about the new storm armor essence? I haven’t gotten it yet unfortunately. However I really like this build I do mine with winters eye variant just for more AOE and the chill effect
Before inferno, I was using this build but without arcane torrent and use scorch instead. But this is better with inferno Edit: I hope you can answer this Lida. Is 4pc grace + 2pc vithu here better than 4pc banquet?
It's very strong because it has an unwritten knockback effect. In addition to that the proc does a large amount of damage that hits before players can move out of it so it's basically unavoidable as opposed to say Howler's Call that can be dodged.
I'm not a fan of Trapper at all. It just puts up a huge sign for everyone to see that you're low on health, and the circles are easy to avoid. I don't think it's worth the Paragon tree points, and I haven't heard a persuading argument otherwise.
What reso are you by chance? For the very high reso that are always against large whales there aren't many opportunities to escape. The trapper is more to just snare them for someone else after you die from the remaining dots etc. Also with the latest paragon changes and armory there are most likely 16 points somewhere that can be swapped out for that specific loadout.
@@MinMaxRPG I’m 1560 resonance, iirc. I think the Paragon tree points are better allocated elsewhere. I use Gladiator, just without Trapper and the Potency you have to allocate to get Trapper. Potency doesn’t really help my Crusader’s build, so that factors into it. I still think Trapper is very overrated though.
We were acquiring badges after transferring but soon as we're able (if we're able) to go Immortal I'd be happy to make one. There's a large number of whales on the server so plenty of fun/fair matches.
Personally I'd run 3 Wildfire, Primary attack damage, skill damage and critical hit damage. For the other 2 slots I'd use beneficial effect duration (jolt) and primary attack speed (vengeance). If you wanted a bit more help in pvp ( I know you said mostly pve) then you could go for 3 lines of vengeance for some burst.

It's fun and very strong against comps that have players clumped together or at choke points.

I think 4p Grace is def better over Banquet for this build.
works with any reso is super fun :)
It's fun especially when you land some amazing black holes. I've had some 5 player ones that just completed flatten the enemy team.
Is is a big challenge as a wizzard not to die
There is a tanky build that I haven't shown yet, still hoping for a couple set pieces to play it.

such big difference.. im 1k reso and my arcane torrent dmg is only 5.6k
It's so fun though, just cast it and run around =). I love that skill which is far different than how I feel about it when channeled.
This game is made for whales. simple as that. If ur f2p, just do pve. It sucks but pvp is really bad in this game. Whales win always
