This Friesian gelding, Olrick, came to us for schooling; the video shows him in training with us doing the hazards in our arena. We show him being put to in the middle of an industrial estate (as he will be doing weddings and funerals with his owner and will need to be put to in towns/on the side of a lorry as well as in a yard). We show he can be driven alongside heavy traffic such as buses and lorries.
This is an old film from our archives.
Wonderfully good ideas for my play ground .
Ulrich is going beautifully. Nice and soft , he is actively seeking contact. Super calm
Astounding, and beautiful!
A happy, confident horse.
Good job. I am creating a training yard it's fun to collect stuff and long line threw it. Good ideas and interesting to see how my horses react to different things some are more suspicious about stuff on the ground some don't like overhead. And my friends horse does amazing but doesn't like the corner of my arena with nothing in it. I can see this being very beneficial for all stages . Ground work first then with a harness then with a cart.
Incredible this horse ! Surely it also would be an ideal horse for riding outdoors !
you are the best
Wonderful horse, obviously well trained and quite content to do as told. Lovely to not see riders and drivers jerking at their heads...
Very impressive!
@coolacutta From your other comments it appears that you may have some questions regarding horse behaviour while driving/training problems - if you have any issues or would like to discuss any aspect of driving, whether from your perspective or the horses, you are welcome to give us a call and Barry will do his best to help. How do you work with bomb proofing before you put the horse in the wagon? I see you ride but do you also do it only in the harnes and reins?
Tubes, orange net, barrels, no problem. No fence, PROBLEM! Getting my horse away from fences is proving very challenging. Swinging bridge, water? No problem. OMG! Where's the fence?
how much are you asking for him in canadian money
thank you
