The Boeing 747 and DC-10 were phased out because they had 3-4 engines and were less-fuel efficient in comparison to other twin-engine jets.
This meant those planes also had higher maintenance costs. Newer planes generally have better fuel efficiency

Les Boeing 747 et DC-10 ont été progressivement abandonnés car ils étaient équipés de 3 ou 4 moteurs et étaient moins économes en carburant que les autres avions bimoteurs.
Cela signifiait que ces avions avaient également des coûts de maintenance plus élevés. Les avions plus récents ont généralement un meilleur rendement énergétique
