- On April 8th, the Jewish Easter began, while the Christian Easter took place on Sunday 12th. Br. Frédéric Manns, of the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum, explains the difference between Jewish Pessach and Christian Easter.
Jewish Pascha and Christian Pascha makes sense, but "Jewish Easter" doesn't! The comparison works better in the Romance languages, where the Christian holy day is called Paques, Pascua, or something similar.
