    Correction: The Yamaha YAS 209 comes with ARC and not eARC.

    • @sachinkun21
      @sachinkun21 Před 9 měsíci

      How does it matter? eARC vs ARC?

    • @IdiotBox86
      @IdiotBox86  Před 9 měsíci

      @@sachinkun21 Great question! the difference is bandwidth. eARC has a higher bandwidth which means, more data, more frequencies, better sound. However, the TV and soundbar, both need to support it and the source of audio also needs to be good for a user to take full advantage.

    Your review is exactly what i was looking for, thank god i landed on this video after so many mediocre videos. You chose the right topic and that too with the movie i want to see first purchasing any sound bar. What is missing is the loudness details in terms of dBs and that too compared with clarity that could have been gauged on the dB app otherwise the wattage declaration by the companies is just a gimmick, it doesn’t tell you the detail of that moment when you loose taste while increasing the volume.
    I am thankful to you for that channel separation topic also. Great video.

    I have a query, Sir:
    Yamaha YHT-1840 for around 39K, isn't it a better option ?

      Hi, yes. The YAMAHA YHT-1840 is a proper home theatre in a box. And if you are looking at building a home theatre, that’s a better option. But remember you need more space for the amplifier, need to do wiring for the rear speakers, etc. it isn’t as convenient as a soundbar.

      I recommended going to a showroom and listening to the soundbar yourself. Preferably connect your phone via Bluetooth and judge the performance using content you are used to listening to. @@IdiotBox86 thanks for your reply and helpful views about the soundbar.
      I got my yamaha yas 209 today, great soundbar with very good sound and great features.
      I suggest viewers not to go for Polk magnifi mini, it's an useless soundbar with a lot of bugs. I returned my Polk due to connectivity issues. Bluetooth, Chromecast in the soundbar is useless. Only you can use the soundbar with an optical cable or hdmi.
      Sound clarity, stereo effect, sharpness are weak in Polk than yamaha.
      Alexa, control app support such features you will miss in Polk. You can fully control yamaha with your mobile but not possible with Polk.
      One and only plus point in Polk is great and deep bass. Its bass will blow your mind. If you need a small factor soundbar with great bass go for Polk. In any other case go for yamaha.

      If I compair it with polk magnifi mini (used the bar for 20-22 days) yamaha 209 is far better choice in term of sound clarity, surround effect, control app on mobile ( no worries if remote lost), alexa, and many more.
      One and only best point in Polk is great base.. I tried yamaha, sony, jbl, samsung no one was near the bass quality of Polk.
      I returned my Polk magnifi mini due to connectivity issue. Bluetooth and Chrome cast is useless in the bar. (If you increase the volume it will stop the running music)

However, if at times I feel the bass is lacking for music, I increase it by 1 or 2 points or simply enable bass boost. However these settings may be different for you based on the acoustics of your room. So I recommend playing with the setting and choosing what sounds right to your ears.

      Firstly, you should go to a retailer near you like Croma, reliance digital, vijay sales, etc. and listen to them yourself. I think the Yamaha has better sound than the Sony at this price point, but the Sony has surround speakers for an immersive experience. The Samsung is one of the better of the 2 options simply based on the features it offers. However, like I said, audio is subjective, and I highly recommend you listen to them before purchasing. Take some content you are accustomed to listening to so you can judge things like bass, surround sound, dialogue clarity, music performance, etc.
