I can't believe how close everyone is standing next to the road.
So close back in the group b era peoples fingers got caught on some cars since everyone wanted to touch the cars so bad.
Makkinen was such a great driver. Always on the edge.

Fantastic. This was the first stage after he just won the Safari in my country. Gone are the old boys. This was real rally. Once you are out, you are out. No special entries after. Thats how Sebastian won many rallies and championships.

He tells than the road has been wider and wider over the years and somethink block the sight ,than he didnt see a tree stump in that corner. But he thinks the main reason of mistake was when they did those map counts for the stage and misses that thing.

Back when rally was rally still. Up until 2010 give or take, then they had to move over to go karts. If I were a car manufacturer I would build remakes of cars that captivated the public, but with newer technologies 😊

Looks like Tommi's trying harder than usual. He was always super smooth and easy on the wheel but guess in 2000 with Marcus and his 206 flying, poor old Evo simply wasn't quick enough.

Yritinkin korostaa kommentissa Anttilan NYKYISEEN nuotinlukuun! Muistaakseni 2009 Latvala ja Anttila vaihto nykyseen nuotitukseen. Ehkä olis kannattanu verrata Lehtiseen tai Rautiaiseen. Ja kyllähän se tosi on ettei se nuottituksen vaihto ole niitä ulosajoja lopettanut...

I don't think this is a 6.5 as the rear tail lights just a standard 6
CEYEmusic it's called the 6.5 because it had components that were newer than the 6s'. So it was still a 6 but with better steering rack etc

No eihän tuo nyt ollu viel mitään verrattuna miten vaarallisesti katsojat oli tiellä vielä 80 luvulla tai 90 luvun alkuvuosina 😅 väkeä oli enemmän tienpientareilla ja jopa itse tiellä enemmän kuin Ranskan ympäriajoissa....sitten vaan juoksivat pois tieltä kun autoa tuli....
Mutta paljon on ajat muuttunu, nykyään ei tietenkään sallittaisi olla edes tuommoisessa paikoissa kuin v.2001

He said that there was a tree stump on the inside of that turn and it wasn't marked on the notes and that he couldn't see it either 'cause something (didn't specify on that) was blocking the line of sight. He was just generally bummed out and at the end said that "It's going to be a long weekend."
The best rally driver ever. Sad that Mitsubishi fucked up and introduced the shittier car in the late 2000 season. Such a shame. Mäkinen would have won the world championship with the older car with which he was competitive. The new car was a complete failure.
