Andy: Hello everyone, Andy here with each trailer.com, and today we're going to take a look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter on our 2021 Toyota Tacoma. So when it comes time to replacing your cabin air filter, it is going to be pretty straightforward as far as the installation process, but not only is this going to protect your heating and air conditioning system, but it is going to block 90% of bacteria, mold spores, any other type of things that we can breathe in or things that could possibly damage our heating and air conditioning system. It's just going to make it a more enjoyable ride in the vehicle. Now as far as the installation, it is straightforward, especially for our Toyota Tacoma. So let's go ahead and take a look at that now. Now to replace your cabin filter, you can access inside your glove box here, there is a panel that says, "Slide up and remove." We're just going to go ahead and slide that up until it pops out of place, and then from there we can just pull that back and set it right here. And now there are two clips, one on the left and one on the right. We're just going to go ahead and pinch those in in order to remove this panel here. We can set that aside as well.
And there you can see that our cabin filter is just placed in the bottom of the tray, so we're going to go ahead and remove that, and then we can go ahead and replace it with our new one.Now you can see where it says, "Air flow." We want the air flow away from that fan, so we're going to go ahead and put it in this position here. Now we can replace our cap here and then we'll go ahead and put this back. You want to make sure that both clips on the left and the right snap into place. Now we can go ahead and reinstall our cover and we're good and it's all completed and we're ready to go.And that is going to do it for our look at the PTC custom fit cabin air filter on our 2021 Toyota Tacoma.

Not sure what you meant by air flow away from the fan. The blower motor is below the filter but it sucks air through the filter. Air flow arrows should point down.

It's obvious since dirt and debris collects on top of the old filter thus proving that dirty unfiltered air is coming in from the top and flowing downward.

Changing your cabin air filter is an easy enough job that you can do it your self at home. We recommend changing it at least once a year.
