I related to fishing for white fish. Sometimes hooking into a 14" fall fish on a fly rod here in Maine is a lot more exciting and fun than I'll ever admit.
sooooooo fun !!!
Honestly, I had never run into them in a river setting like that. So awesome.
Whites on the fly are a true treat. I never knew how fun it was until I accidentally ran into them on Northern Sask streams. Great Video!
what a treat they are - im hooked on them now - we appreciated the support thank you
Be prepared to watch a whole fishing trip in slow motion. It's nearly every scene.
Still great.
Very cool stuff! What a unique and diverse fishery.
Amazing adventure Mike and Rob!
If only you could have frozen a few of those whiteys to bring home! Tasty treats!
thanks Rod - yeah that would have been a treat
Great stuff really enjoy your adventures Thank you!!!
thanks so much Chris - thanks for supporting our show !!!
I wonder if a White fish is of the same family as our local prize species here in South Africa?
Known as a Yellowfish, "labeobarbus"
We have large mouth and small mouth. An exciting quarry to hunt in SA
Wow that looks like a great trip.
Dang Man! I would love to just be the camera guy on one of those trips! That place is awesome! Thanks for bringing us along!
glad you enjoyed it - it was a beautiful area for sure - thanks for the support
Loved every minute thanks!
That looked so exciting catching all those Whitefish. Although we have a few here in the UK 🇬🇧, they are very rare (& getting rarer) and are a protected species. There is a trout fishery in Scotland that had them stocked a couple of decades ago and they do show up there regularly - & it is on my bucket list.
cheers Alistair - thanks for the support and thanks for watching - Scotland is a bucket list for me
@@flyboyzindahouse the fishing is so varied, salmon, trout, sea trout, grayling, pike, perch in rivers and lochs. Add to that saltwater fly-fishing for salmon sea trout, sea bass, pollock and coley. You would have a blast!
@39:43, hahahaha! Bring TP cause you never know what you’re going to run into… like a bear so you might soil your shorts! 😂
Crazy, lol i like quiet when i fish but that’s nuts
🔥🔥🔥
We kill whitefish on the Yakima; they’re considered trash fish and encroach on the rainbow trout.
Whitefish are native fish! It’s not like it’s an invasive species. They coexist with trout. Leave them be.
I get that you might not want to show it, but there’s no way I could go up there and not cook up some of those Walleye for dinner.
we deff had a shore lunch lol its on the episode - Walleye are delicious for sure
Cripes…I was wondering when you were going to get around to eating them!!!
They are called natives. You don't need to justify yourself fishing for them.
