The entire sequence of "In The Space Capsule" 3:30 , where they're crossing barriers between our space and Ming's, was the most exotic, alien thing I'd ever seen as a kid. Those drums...

I saw it at the UA Capri theater in the Bronx....GOOD MEMORIES!!!
I got taken out of infant school early one day on the pretext I was due a dental check up - ended up being taken to the Quinton Classic instead!
I had the 8 track tape. It influenced my love of Electronic Music from then on. Also the Album, Bolero: Everything You Always Wanted To Hear On The Moog. I played them constantly!

Queen's best album of the 80's
Absolutely. The stupid critics berated this when it came out. "It doesn't sound like Queen". Well it wasn't supposed to! Its a soundtrack to a children's adventure film and on those terms is absolutely superb.
It was a great idea to incorporate snippets of dialogue into the soundtrack. This brings it to life and gives added potency to the music. It reminded me of an album that I had as a child of Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales; complete with sound effects such as splashing water, ducks quaking, crowds jeering and so on.
Musically, parts are pretty impressive. The guitar orchestrated version of the Wedding March is worthy of Hendrix's rendition of the Star Spangled Banner.

one of the best memories of my life is going to the cinema on a sunday afternoon with my mother (who just passed)....and my brother...that day I met flash, I met queen....and that memory stuck like a splinter in my mind.....so for me this is a constant reminder of a good good thing...so be it.....

Um belo álbum do Queen, excelente aquisição para sua coleção de Vinis e Cds, eu já vou reservar o meu! Um álbum do Queen experimental com intenções claras de soar como trilha sonora para o filme, embora com a sonoridade típica temporal do início da década de 80, uma obra de arte, um álbum minimalista onde a banda embora influência diretamente a musicalidade do trabalho, mas não é o foco principal, e sim servir a conceito cinematrográfico do filme. É possível resgatar nos momentos mais espontâneos e viscerais da obra ecos de um passado sonoro distante, em que a banda ressoa sem se perder na complexidade estilística. Gosto desta resposta, pois marca bem a avalanche de influência musical do Krautrock aos anos 80 e os demais anos vindouros (vídeo David Bowie). O Krautrock foi um grande movimento musical ocorrido na Alemanha, sob a influência da música experimental minimalista de vanguarda que tem como um dos seus precursores Stockhausen e Steve Reich. O Krautrock foi a resposta da nação Alemã musicalmente falando, de toda a sua angústia, sofrimento, dor e tristeza vivida a pós a segunda guerra mundial retratada, assim por meio de uma diversificação musical que vai desde sentimentos de extrema introspecção e melancolia subjetivos que muitas vezes por ser tão viscerais soam de forma estranhamente primais de uma beleza contraditória e muitas vezes de difícil assimilação, necessitando de estudo aprofundado de meses e meses até assimilar a intenção da obra artística e apreende-la em toda sua plenitude. Só para complementar, embora possa parecer reduntante, peço as minhas sinceras desculpas aos alunos que estudam a minha obra, que é relevante citar, em anexo a este artigo, que o músico Brian May possui um estilo sonoro de seu instrumento, no caso o objeto em evidência de análise, é a guitarra elétrica, inconfundível, imutável, diferenciado e nunca antes ouvido no hall dos grandes guitarrista que marcaram a história do Rock, o que se leva a concluir que é um músico de um sutileza extremamente única.

Mi tío tiene el DVD de esta película, y pese a que yo no existía en ésa época, la vimos y es muy buena, los efectos especiales no son de guay pero en calidad se defiende, un clásico con la música de un clásico del rock valla que lo pasamos genial con unas ricas cabritas y un vaso de bebida, viendo esta genial película.
