  • A determined team in Shanghai tackles a $40 billion project, including tunneling near a busy subway, moving a 1,000-ton bridge, and revitalizing the historic Bund within an incredibly tight timeframe. As the clock ticks down, watch the architects, tunnel engineers, and landscapers navigate complex challenges to ensure the iconic area is ready for the World Expo, breathing new life into China's Wall Street.

I lived in Shanghai during that time. There was scarcely a street leading up to Expo that didn’t have some sort of works going on. Thats one of the biggest changes over the last 15 years. Shanghai went from one of the noisiest cities in the world to one of the quietest. everything's built, the cars are electric , the car horns have been tamed and even the old peoole have lowered the volume. Actually, i miss the Shanghai of 15 years ago.

China Made new mega projec every year like is easy.
Project submission, location survey, project planning, project funding, approval and licensing can be completed in just 1 year.
China during 2011-2019 period Made new 10,000 km (6,000 miles) of toll roads and 4,000 km (2,500 miles) of high-speed rail every year.

This video said the project was done in what 2008 or 2009? It doesn't sound correct. I travelled to Shanghai in October 2007, less than a year before Beijing Summer Olympic began. By that time, the Bund was already looked like what it is today.

Notice in the corrupt USA the government would never do something like this for the people of the city. It has to be done by private investors. China is leading the world in many aspects. Look at all the things the Chinese do for their people, railways, affordable living of all types, modern life and still somewhat primitive, futuristic tech in cities, government funded projects like this are an everyday thing in China.
